Waking up after an episode like that is so scary for both of you. I hope this will be the puzzle piece needed to finally figure out the cause. It really makes me wonder if it could be more related to your heart and the brain issues are a side effect of it? Stay safe and listen to your body. Create when you feel like it. ❤

Josh, that's so scary! Ashley is a nurse. Right? Ask her to do a poor man's 'tilt table test' on you. I have something called POTS (Postural orthostatic tachycardia Syndrome). Mine is pretty mild, and like you, I can mostly tell "something" is happening, and I just go lay down until it passes. My "episodes" are often in the middle of the night when I get up to pee. I had to wear a ZioPatch (wearable ekg basically) for 2 weeks, and thankful it actually caught 1 episode. My episodes we're maybe once or twice a year before I had C19. They're now pretty much every other month. Still way less frequent than people who experience this daily. ZioPatch also caught one episode of SVT (Super Ventricular Tachycardia). That one, I've only felt maybe 4 times (all after C19), including the one on the ZioPatch. I was just laying on the couch when it happened. In less health related news, I found a tank of oxyacetalene in my garage and had previously been told some odd looking contraption in my basement (inherited Dad's house) is for welding, so now I'm strongly wanting to take a welding class at the local community college a mile away so I can make large art pieces for my garden. Mostly because of how awesome it was to watch your hammerhead vlog. 🤞 my yard doesn't end up looking like Sanford and Son. And another thing! Lol. I'm now questioning if my grandfather was Canadian or spent a lot of time there, because he said 'again' like you do. Uh-gain, instead of the typical 'merican uh-gehn. Makes me smile thinking about him every time I hear it.

Forgot to add when I feel 'off', I check my Fitbit, and sure enough my heart rate is elevated. I'm pretty sure you said you had been on all kinds of medications for your brain thing, but recently came off of them? Was any of them a beta-blocker? And did you have any of these episodes while you were on it? I'm pretty sure that's what the cardiologist said I could be prescribed if my episodes started to impact my ADLs. I had a full cardiac workup because of this and my father's extensive cardiac issues (MI's, stents, a pacemaker at the end). My heart structure (not the right word??? Health? Still not the right word!) Is fine. I just have this, and a murmur that I've had since birth, and I'm told they are not related.

Gosh Josh, that's pretty darn scary for you AND Ashley!!😮 Do you check your blood pressure? With you having dizzy spells, etc,you may want to start doing that! There is something called Orthostatic Hypotension...where people stand up from a laying or sitting position & their blood pressure drops. Hence passing out. Happy to hear you didn't suffer a head concussion! Broken facial bones are bad enough right! I would definitely start monitoring your BP and when getting up, do it slowly for your body to adjust(Just a suggestion from a 20+ yr RN). Prayers to you!

I do not have all the other problems you have, but I do have Vasovagal Syncope which does call me to faint for no reason. So maybe you might mention that to your doctors. Fainted standing in line at a checkout and woke up to find people staring down at me.

I saw a video from a woodworker that showed the inside of his electrical boxes in his shop. He showed all the built up sawdust that cause so many shop fires and vacuumed them out once a month. Really got me to thinking and it made perfect sense.

Pool noodles cut down one side or pipe insulation on every pipe that makes contact with the membrane or tarp.

Hey Josh you have been on a journey with your health. I commented a while back my eldest son was suffering the same issues.He was put on Indomethacin. He did the same thing the wake up on the floor including the stairwell of his work place. Well 5 years down the track he is not suffering these issues anymore. He does however get migraines occasionally that are blinding normally with stress. So hopefully it will right itself soon. Wishing you the best of health. ❤

Funny thing happened to me last Thursday. On the way back from the toilet i blacked out and and my left eye the bridge of my nose and my cheek were bruised. went to the hospital a few days later and discover ive had a silent stroke and have a blood clot in my brain.

Love the finger painting brush and how you custom framed it. My dad had episodes of passing out. No doctor ever really found the cause. Dad lived to 96.

I've done that sort of passing out three times,but thankfully not since my twenties, the last time I split the skin on my chin open, bit my tongue and cracked a couple of teeth. Maybe I learned my lesson.

Have you been checked for epilepsy? Epilepsy can cause dizzy spells and also passing out. I never heard of epilepsy being caused by moving heavy objects like you were moving when it all started years ago but your symptoms now are sometimes caused by epilepsy. Just a thought. I would imagine your doctors have already tested you for that.

My neighbor not one but now 2 of their cats are gone do to fox and one chased my cat she came flying over the fence I have outside so my 2 small dogs stay, or they too would succumb to their end due to fox - cayotes or eagles A fox came dashing through my yard last week in the afternoon chasing something

Thank you for writing my name on the door - - I could see you writing the names but I couldn't make them out. Your book idea keeps get better. Shop photos along with "works in progress" being made with various tools in the shop. If I didn't say it back in April, your shop is amazing. There is just so much to look at that it is overwhelming. On a more serious note Josh. Like you, we all keep hoping that someone will figure out what's going on with your brain pain and now this. Keep on your doctors for answers and listen to Ashley when she says you should go to the hospital.

Josh, there are loads of fonts online that you can download if you are ever doing computer graphics. I'm an 'old school' desktop publisher and was making flyers, newsletters and e-zines before blogs and vlogs were a thing. I love a good font. Also, you can tea or coffee stain paper to make it look old. Sorry about your eye. Heal up fast.

not good when ya do a face-plant and go unconscious. Please stay on top of it. sounds like low blood pressure. do deep fast breathing ( like you just went into cold water) to bring your blood pressure up, especially when you feel it coming on, before you go down for the count I know it's happened to me, this has worked for me.. 2 years ago I did a face-plant and got a concussion I still get strange headaches once in awhile. I also have had low blood pressure and had to breathe fast to bring my blood pressure up or brace myself before I fell down or slowly collapsed. I'm trying to do deep breathing like Wim Hoff stuff to get fresh air into my system and release the build up of carbon monoxide in my body. But I did that before I discovered Wim. I've done a lot of practiced breathing to make myself more aware many years I have low blood pressure naturally now it helps also doing belly breathing (like a baby) to up my awareness in myself, I'm not no guru or anything I basically have done these things to make my body last longer. And plus I don't like falling unexpectedly.

Take pool noodles cut in half then you can from inside put over the peak of addition. Should stop the fraying, tape in place, the pool noodle should fit right in it .

Josh, could this be heart related? Various and random BP's high and low that might go undetected when you are observed under medical care? Could this have an effect with your brain issues? Ashley can take your BP at home I'm sure, but in case she isn't around, you can get a home BP cuff and do your own readings. Especially when you get the dizzy spells.

At 45.34 stopped here to tell you (haven't watched the rest) that in my experience these USB old to New wires don't move around welI. If you get them working without shifting the device, they'll keep working, but it's too easy to dislodge them without them coming all the way out and the only way you know it is when it fails. .02fwiw

My brother has had multiple sclerosis nearly 29yrs (he's 55 now) and for the first 5-6yrs didn't have a definate diagnosis of what was wrong... I really really hope it's not what you have but lots of your symptoms are the same as he had. A few yrs ago he had a fall in the toilet too but it was just a small toilet room and he was stuck on the floor against the door. The fire department had to come out and take the door off to get him out....
