My guess with Maxx C is that this is the "warning" before it gets banned, and they are just waiting to do so until after Supreme Darkness releases the 3rd Mulcharmy that will Draw from Grave and Banish summons For Master Duel I expect we won't see any Maxx C hit until after they release the Mulcharmys in it

Finally very good OCG banlist. Hitting all previous meta decks quite considerably like tenpai, snake eyes, and yubel. Fiendsmith package for hit hard this soon is surprising ngl, usually they wait 1 more banlist or so. They hit current meta deck raizeol a bit too with bonfire. Drident, dragoon, and master peace also interesting. And most importantly, maxx C semi proves they can hit it.

I doubt we are ever going back to a unified list, unless the stars perfectly align and they miraculously get both the TCG and OCG on the same product schedule where everything is a simultaneous worldwide release (MTG is the only game of the big 3 that does this). We had a unified list before and all it did was create awkward situations where cards would get hit before we even had a chance to play with them in the TCG. Hard to sell product to players if they can't even play with the cards in said product.

Here is the issue that I have been spouting off for years now when it comes to masterpiece. Lmao They are ahead in release schedule. Stuff like engraver was never going to get hit a month after release in TCG. Also, they were in a two deck meta and one of the decks got neutered heavily while the other was left intact. Moreover, several fringe decks like Yubel & tenpai were destroyed, therefore limiting the pool of playable meta decks to just 1 with maliss as s distant second. It was a product cyclement list. It wasn't good at all

I personally enjoy the consistency hit method because players that actually liked those decks can still play and enjoy them, albeit, lower power level overall. Rather than just killing decks then having a new replacing tier 0.5 deck the literal next format.

Purulia barely sees any play outside of Tenpai side decks. It's just Upstart but worse against most decks. The incoming GY & banishment Mulcharmy is going to be niche as well, since not many decks special summon multiple times from those zones either. That makes Fuwaross and Maxx C the only widely-used ones, so that only makes it go from 6 to 5.

Tenpai can also use Gold Sarc cuz the deck lost 2 field spell and 2 Chundra, so they can replace the loss with 2 Gold Sarc and Blaster. If they draw Gold Sarc, they can banish Blaster to trigger the effect to search any fire dragon. I'm not sure limiting Chundra to 1 does much (I think it does something).

Maxx "C" at 2 does nothing, it will still be negated, it will still be played around, and when it resolves drawing a 2nd Maxx "C" is less than before + you won't be opening 2 of them in the starting hand more often, which is a good thing, to me OPT hand traps are a 2 of, ratio wise it's way better than maxing on them, less bricky this way, I'd play ash at 2 if only Maxx "C" gets banned and only banned. limited is not enough, disgusting freaking roach
