Milling in Runick is so underrated. One of the reasons why I liked the majestic variant of Runick is because Tuning mills a card, which could be a light/dark for a bystial, or it could be a Runick spell that lets you high roll better with fountain.

This really makes me excited for the future of LS mill strategies. I only play MD and my pet deck is a lightsworn variant primarily because the deck can do so many synchro and rank 4 plays; You can practically play whatever secondary engine you want with them so long as they can get value from going from deck to graveyard. I was playing cards like scheiren even when I wasn’t really fusion summoning with the deck just because the discard raiden into lumina, special raiden mill and then have the option of either redoer lines or a synchro 8 depending is really fun. I miss magic dragon, man.

I remember taking like 8 turns to finally mill out a 60 card deck once, and it was nerve wracking to mill him for like 7, then GSO to stack the top and see that he had even more outs in the deck, luckily those outs could be buried under more useless cards.

You could use the Rank 4 Minerva and Daigusto for F0 so both have maximum value. Also Chaos Angel seema quite good because you don't need a tuner. Great video as always!

I played Lightsworn Runick when it just came out, super close to topping YCS Niagara with it. It was just Charges and Raiden but it allowed for turn 1 Baronne or Chengying and often resolving 2 Fountains for 3. Good times.

For the extra deck, I really like Bujintei Tsukuyomi, milling 5 more is just really great, and on average should always lead to another body. That and F0, despite taking 2 slots, just make sense IMO

Wrong Bujin monster. Tsukuyomi is the one where you discard your hand and draw 2. Kagutsuchi is the mill 5.

Any Local that does Traditional....its probably not gonna be a casual fun event. I remember a guy that straight up tried to explain to me that its thr better format than advanced. This was some time after the January 2020 banlist. His reasoning? A card of his fav pet deck went banned and he really wanted to play it. So i logged in the game with a 60 Orcust Pile with every banned, dumb, broken card i could think of. Vanities Emptiness, Sixth Sense, Maxx C, PoG, Graceful, Snow... Yeah we didnt play a Game 2.

I agree it's kinda iffy, but it kinda goes well with solar recharge/Weiss. Theoretically another package might be better, like the blackwing lvl 4 (use fountain again) or performages for example.

I recommend playing 3 mallis in Main and Ultimaya Tzolkin and Clearwing Crystal Dragon in the ED. My fav combo is to go into Huggin search and activate fountain. Mill and summon a tuner to go into Coraldragon, bring back Malli. Summon Tzolkin and draw 1 from Coraldragon. Summon Geri. Grap a milled Fountain and activate ur aktive fountains eff (draw 3). Set the 2nd fountain. Tzolkin triggers and summons CCD. Flip Fountain. Summmon huggin, draw 3 more

Didn’t even realize Legacy of Destruction was out. The most expensive card in the set that isn’t a quarter century is a UR that isn’t even worth the MSRP of the box. The only thing that might salvage this set in the short term is the Tenpai cards being Bystials 2.0 with $20 SRs. Nothing being worth the price of a box is generally a terrible sign and is what has been completely killing Yugioh vendors the last couple years because the sets just don’t sell. If Tenpai flops and the SRs trend down (which is what almost always happens over time anyways) then there’s literally nothing to chase in the set aside from quarter century secrets.

No offense but this feels very anecdotal and very copy Pasta I've been traveling alot this year everywhere I go and even my own local area can't keep yugioh on the shelf 8 of the last 12 sets have been highly expensive wielding a handful of cards that out value the msrp for months at a time(not to mention the huge price spikes in New staples over the last 2 years) AGOV, PHNI, RA01, CYAS, POTE are all great examples of a hobby shops Dream yugioh products. Shit sells Not to mention you're just choosing to ignore the QCRS value and the community's interest in them, which at this point are easier to pull than just buy at singles and most boxes have multipule qcrs that are being pulled like crazy while still maintaining a 100+ price tag. The rhetoric used may have been true like 5 years ago and what you said is almost an exact copy paste of what angry yugioh redditor have been saying for years with no real evidence but lately esspecially Here where I live yigioh is on the UP big time. Same seemed true for northern Colorado, southern Maine, south east wisconsin. And Central Pennsylvania. every hobby shop I went too was selling cases and boxes like hot cakes 🎂 Not to mention if you actually talk to yugioh players this set is a huge chase set with tons of fun cards and new support that's universally well received. Although you saying you didn't realize one of the most anticipated sets was even out shows you might be as in touch with the community.

Every single side set the last year except for RC1 has been absolutely awful. Amazing Defenders flopped on release and only picked up after Purrley and Rescue Ace got more support later. QCRs have a pull rate of about 1 in every other box, and very few QCRs are worth the MSRP of a box. This set is a chase set the same way Duelist Nexus was. Which is to say that the stuff that people actually want is relatively low rarity so it’s significantly cheaper to just buy the singles. It’s a chase set because people want Tenpai and some of the Yubel stuff, all of which is low rarity. I wouldn’t say a bunch of the sets you’ve listed are particularly good either. PHNI is pretty much just the Poplar and Promethean Princess set. Voiceless Voice and wave 1 of the Yubel stuff is there, but neither of those decks are particularly well situated. CYAC was also a pretty mediocre set to the point where my local Walmart still has packs of it on shelves. Mannadium didn’t pick up until Duelist Nexus came out. The only real hype the set had was enabling a new Gimmick Puppet lock with Expulsion on legs and Wakaushi to give us another awful Droll format. The really good sets have been limited to POTE, DABL, AGOV, and RC1. The rest has been beyond mid. Having a handful of sets that sell well isn’t enough to offset the massive loss that comes with every single god awful side set and a bunch of mediocre main sets

CYAC was also nowhere near as bad of a set as you're making it out to be, that had 3 branded lore secret rares as well as chaos angel and dis pater, sure it wasn't an insane set with must play chase cards but it wasnt a major vendor L either. Also writing off voiceless stuff when Lo was £60 on release and still over £100 for a playset is a bit disingenuous. The side set release patterns are a major problem, both for vendors who fail to profit off them and the playerbase who have to overspend for bad decks because they barely get opened, but the main sets aren't a major issue, they can't have every set be an AGOV or half their playerbase is unable to keep up with the price of the game and therefore stuck about a year behind the meta with no reason to even try to play competitively

tears ist natürlich naheliegend die mit lightsworn zu kombinieren. ansonsten ging lightsworn auch immer relativ gut mit chaoskarten. und es gibt definitiv ein paar linkmonster man hier reintun kann, lyna z.B. oder das schaf mit den fusions. ich persönlich mag chaos decks mit lightsworn: 3 mal valkyre + thunder dragon engine, die bystials, 2x levianier (eventuell den creator), den searcher und dann kann man auch ein xyz8 der wahl spielen. eine andere möglichkeit wäre malicous + armageddon + constellar. oder wenn man easy fusions spielt, einaml lumina + schaf für mehr consistency. Und dann gibts da auch noch den clown, den man mit lumina abwerfen kann... so viele möglichkeiten... edit: ich mag das schaf. mehr liebe für das schaf ^^

have you considered playing punishment dragon to actually use his on field effect since he would reset your deck and give you more grind than you normally have. you could even use the ishizus to shuffle you ls cards into the deck and then shuffle them back from banish

2:30 That's not entirely true. I was there too and there was at lest one other guy with banned cards. In my first match my opponent (who played Goblin Biker - Punk) activated Pot of Greed, Maxx C and Graceful Charity in the first game and in the second he summoned Crystron Halqifibrax... Anyway, I also won 2-0 so I think you can say that the banned cards didn't help the players much.

Any updates to this deck as of right now? I like my Runicks but I just hate that I cant win with its original win con of decking ur opponent out. Any time I get negated turn 1 from summoning Hugin it just tilts me cuz i NEED my field spell up to do anything...and then my fusion just sits on the field taking up space and i can remove it. If only the Runicks could be SS on a field other than the Extra Monster Zone..
