Personally I did really like advanced warfare, but I would only recommend it if you think the original cycle of zombies gets boring, since all advanced warfare maps are REALLY innovative. Oh yeah, don’t forget every map separately is 15 dollars.

Note that backtracking in video games is actually pretty useful as a game play mechanic since it allows you to go back to pick up any useful things that you might find on the way to wherever it is that you are going to and having the option to use the previously mentioned earlier item now or later is another cool game pretty game play mechanic because you can choose to save the item in question for later if you don't want to use it as soon as you get the item

I feel like Exo Zombies doesn’t get its credit for bringing back the horror feel in the Cod Zombies genre. The dark futuristic aesthetic that was already in AW’s campaign was really good, and it fits well in a futuristic zombies setting. Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield’s work on Dead Space really paid off for the atmosphere of Exo Zombies, despite Sledgehammer being the worst dev in the franchise. I actually felt horror in the game for the first time since WaW, because it felt more realistic and gritty, going on a different take without the mythical or fantasy stuff that was in Treyarch zombies. Sledgehammer would go on to make Nazi Zombies more horror felt, but I feel like this should be pointed out more when discussing Exo Zombies

Since everyone here sharing their Zombies nostalgia, experience and starts, I'll do that too. My first Zombies were Cold War ones and somehow it really clicked for me so much that I bought BO3 and downloaded every previous BOs. Now I even thinking about buying AW, IW and even BO4 for this sake. This mix of hoard shooter and exploration puzzle really hooked me, and the unique atmosphere of every map individually.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn doing my map The Darkest Shore dirty like that. A pretty nerve raking intro cutscene, and probably one of the more challenging maps that required you to be 100% situationally aware of the enemies and where they're coming from. The fog adds on an additional fear element, especially with the map's special zombie lurking among the hordes. Low C tier at best.
