I tried making them at home and I found the biggest key, make the chicken mixture and let it sit in the fridge overnight then batter and fry. The taste difference between frying right away and letting the chicken marinade OVERNIGHT is INTENSE .

For everyone talking shit, I work for the company that makes the McDonald's Chicken McNuggets. Like, I've literally seen the product go completely from chicken to the cases the bags of nuggets are boxed and shipped out in. They are nothing but finely ground (to a paste, practically) chicken breast and whatever seasonings are in the batter. No chicken heads, feet, organs, cartilage, etc. Just all white 100% chicken breast. I've literally seen the entire process with my own eyes. That's that.

They really tasted like the McNugget. Personal criticism, cut back on the sodium, personal taste. If I could have pressed them with some type of form, the meat would have been more firm. I do like that they were light and not dense. Thanks for the recipe, a lot of work, I forgot to mention, freeze skin before processing with the very cold chicken. I still don't like Mickey's Nuggets, but the kid do. I last ate them in 1989.

@@nieladrew I made the nuggets without the barbeque sauce because I didn't have most of the ingredients for it but the nuggets turned out great! I do have to say they were a bit salty but that might've been on me as I think I accidentally added too much salt. Other then that they tasted really good and had an authentic McNugget taste and they genuinely tasted like McDonalds! Tried them with Sweet and Sour sauce and it was amazing. Very simple and fun recipe so I will definitely make more of these in the future.

if you think you can't make this, you probably actually can. for the meat grinder my cheap blender did the job and MSG is in every store, it just goes by different names (accent/monosodium/mono glutamate) in the spice section. THAT SAID,,, after weeks of prep making sure I followed this recipe to the gram, it's really not that good. it tastes bland, in fact the egg from the tempura stands out because of how lacking the seasoning is. the flavors this gives is !EGG!, salt, and chicken water. if I was offered these nuggets for FREE alongside McNuggets, id chose the McNuggets. its still edible, i guess, kids liked it and so did my cat edit; spelling

I don’t like his videos purely for the fact that he boasts about his food so condescendingly on his titles. “But better” no bitch. No. You ever had a McDonald’s chicken nugget? Clearly you haven’t cause I’m a fatass and I’ve had just about every nugget you can name and McDonald’s has some tantalizing addictive formula nobody can beat. Certainly not this pretentious douche bag. I’ve had plenty of freezer isle nuggets, nuggets from Wendy’s, jack in the box, Burger King, chick fil a, Carl’s Jr., Popeyes. Everywhere man. McDonald’s has this very particular consistency that can’t be matched. Not only is this guy insulting big brands with big talk about his mediocre product, he’s adding insult to injury in that he likes to compare the food he creates under a stress free environment to that of a big establishments network of frustrated and tired employees trying to satisfy a crowd of customers marginalizing themselves in that “we want and expect speedy, upright service” category. He doesn’t have a line of rowdy people all trying to satisfy their hunger all at once. He’s doing things at his pace which , in turn, calls for food that OBVIOUSLY had much more time and attention devoted to it. Ultimately resulting in a much more presentable meal. You need to keep in mind he’s cooking for one. Not 500-700 which the average McDonald’s serves per day. Of course there’s going to be inconsistencies in presentation but the delivery?........ it will always be there. This guys a fool and I don’t like him. And he’s so weird and the execution of his videos looks off. Like he’s got a “too fab” mindset.
