Josh makes the Big Mac like McDonalds shows it in the photos
@joshuakim5240 Жыл бұрын
My uncle explained to me a while back why the photos look nothing like the actual burgers: McDonalds has slowly been reducing the size of their sandwiches by very tiny, unnoticeable increments for quite a long time (no idea when they started to do this, but it has been going on for at least a decade), but over the years those increments have added to be pathetically tiny compared to how they were many years ago. So those pictures were made back when the burgers did once looked like that, but have sneakily been getting smaller and more expensive. My uncle used to be a Big Mac fanatic and now he's always super pissed at the modern Big Mac for being "what a Quarter Pounder back then was like but twice the cost". And he's not wrong, which is the really concerning part.
@moviecentrul Жыл бұрын

Here’s a request … can we “but better” movie theatre popcorn? Everyone makes popcorn at home but I’m sure we could make it better!
@brooksmcdonnell45673 жыл бұрын
Step 1: Buy a Whirley Pop popcorn maker or get a big pot with a lid Step 2: Buy popcorn salt (Flavacol is best) Step 3 (optional): Buy popcorn oil (wabash valley farms is best) Step 4: Put any oil in pot (popcorn oil is best, I use peanut oil because of its high smoke point when I don’t have popcorn oil) Step 5: add kernels and turn stove to med-high heat (don’t pre-heat pot or popper) Step 6: cook, stirring/shaking popper/pot throughout the whole process until a few seconds between pops Step 6: remove from heat and place in bowl immediately so popcorn doesn’t get soggy Step 7: top with butter/seasoning or enjoy on its own Step 8: return to this comment section and thank me ;) This is the closest I get to making movie theatre popcorn without being at the theatre. You can get everything you need from Amazon. While the ol’ pot and lid is pretty good and I hate single use kitchen items, the Whirley Pop Popcorn maker is one of the best things I have ever spent money on, hands down.
@eldoradocanyonro3 жыл бұрын
You can literally order the same stuff they use....even on Amazon. A premeasured package of popcorn with a premeasured quantity of liquid or solid seasoned fat. I learned this working concessions 30 years ago. Now I buy a giant, cheap box of lots of packages of popcorn and seasoned oil, pull one out, add the oil to a large pot with a lid, add another half stick of butter to that, heat it up, add popcorn, add lid, cook until done. Pour the other half stick of melted butter over top and enjoy. Your cardiologist will thank you.
@notesfrommrkangaroo43923 жыл бұрын
That is a FANTASTIC idea!
@WhereTheVideoEnds3 жыл бұрын
A nice tip I got recently was to use clarified butter/ghee to flavor your popcorn. Regular butter still has a lot of water content in it, and can make your popcorn soggy. I just use coconut oil, rather than buying a specific oil I'd only use a few times a year. Then you can flavor however you want!

I love McDonald’s but every single time I go there with our kids I don’t feel so good after I eat it so I decided to look up a recipe and I found you!! I think I will never go to McDonald’s again!!! thank you so much for doing this and showing us how to make this!!!!❤❤❤❤

The Big Mac could definitely use some improvements. For instance, the beef patties need more seasoning and flavor and the special sauce could use a little more texture. The shredded lettuce should be crispier and so should the onions. I could definitely use some more pickles under both patties as well as another slice of cheese, which should be placed on TOP of each meat patties allowing them to melt. The one thing that doesn’t need improving is the toasted sesame seed buns.
