If I choose to move house, I will choose to live in Lampang. Peaceful, beautiful and the people are more friendly than the neighboring big provinces. There are many old places here. I would like you to visit the house of an Englishman who traded teak in Thailand about 100 years ago. There are some traditional local sweets, maybe a little hard to find, but I think it's worth it. Many things there are unique.
@josieliftsthings2 жыл бұрын
That’s what we thought! We saw some houses and thought people would have moved here for a quieter life, maybe retired, but it’s just a cute little town to move to and live in! I wish I knew about that! We aren’t there anymore but thank you for the suggestion!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻😁

@@josieliftsthings In fact it is “PUN” with the low voice intonation. We Thais always mix up PH spelling as P pronunciation because we pronounce P as French : strong P. So we “thought” the soft P needs to put H to pronounce the soft P. You can see PHUKET in fact comes from PUKET and PHA NGAN (island) comes from PA NGAN. So frappe milo should be called MILO PUN. (With strong P).

@josieliftsthings2 жыл бұрын
Isn’t it!!! I wonder what it was like before the pandemic? It was quiet when we were there, but I’m unsure weather that’s tourism being low because of that or if that’s just the cute quiet town! I wish I knew that when we were there! Might have to go back 😉😉😂

@@josieliftsthings I stayed a few blocks from Long Jims (in that bright yellow hotel on the corner) and it was recommended. To this day, that pizza is the best REAL American New York version outside of New York itself. As for tourism, Lampang might not be on everybody's list, but for those in the know, it's a great spot to hang out for a few days!

what you had was "curry puff" (though we fork up the pronunciation pretty good) rather than samosa. it should be fairly easy to find. pretty amazing snack, though. when ordering food, you want to say "mai ped" (literally, "not spicy"). optional "ka" for politeness.
