Jotish Shankar, who entered Malayalam cinema as an assistant art director with the film ‘Thanthonni’, emerged as an independent art director with ‘Adaminte Makan Abu’. He has won awards for ‘Kumbalangi Nights’, ‘Android Kunjappan' and ‘Nna Thaan Case Kodu'. In this video, Jyotish Shankar discusses his debut directorial film, Ponman, which stars Basil Joseph in the lead role. The film also features performances by Sajin Gopu, Lijo Mol, and several other talented actors. Ponman is inspired by G.R. Indugopan's novel, Naalanju Cheruppakar.
