Alright buddy, you earned a sub! I personally have tried journalling a hundred times since I was 12/13 but then I keep dropping out and..i was unserious about it i believe. But now that i'm growing up. i've been changing my views and every morning i watch something that could earn me a new knowledge. This morning i bumped into you Olly and you really took the thought "journalling is complicated!" away from my mind. I look forward to starting this new journey with the help of your advices in mind. So thank you and have an amazing day!

15:20 what you’re calling an obituary is actually a eulogy. An obituary is where a post in a newspaper is written to let others know that the specified person died.

@@ollystaniland Tim's Dreamlining Exercise caught my attention, as did using first names for moments out in the world. I like the idea of adding the intentions of having, being and doing to my morning intention journalling.

I like technique 9. What make our lives meaningful are basically, other people. OK, sort of... So, think about them more. This is also an exercise of your impressions about people. Combine this with technique 11. Your're in your own funeral. But, you're dead of course. You can't interact with anyone. You're a ghost, free-flowing. Who are there? What do they think? What would they say about you? Who do you want to be there, if they're not already? Why? Exercise on these types of ideas. Prompts are wonderful. But, they are just starting points. Journaling is not about documenting what you feel and think. It's an inquiry of why you feel and think that way.

As someone who is attempting to be as minimalist as possible. Do you get rid of your old physical journals? My alternative is to use Notion to type and create sections which I can travel with on the go?

Olly I enjoy watching your videos. Which subject you study at university?

Hey Rashedul, so glad to hear that you enjoy watching my videos and find them helpful !! Great question, funnily enough I study a degree called Liberal Arts. Essentially that means I get a lot of choice over what I can study but right now I am focussing on the History of London in the Early Modern Period and the effects of globalisation from the 1970s til present day. :))

@ollystaniland So you will most likely going to be seeking an advanced degree, is this correct? If so, what is your PLAN? Or are you going to take up a trade? In the states, these careers actually make more money than college degree careers....thoughts?
