Oh my goodness...I am only about halfway through this and I am blown away already. I was looking for journal covers with a window, and yours came up in the list. Your method of sticking papers on top to create that gorgeous cover, adding gold foil... are all so lovely!! I will definitely try this. But I need interesting papers like yours. lol. ....with such a great loving art coat around the journal its easier to stay on the diary ... for me its difficult to continue writing after the first few pages ... the words become automaticly clearer and more honest and i sink deeper inside... ....actually good but but in pictures you can easier to create confusing games and evasive maneuvers ... ... that's why i love them so ... !!! ...i also bought a small journal for this year and i want him or is the journal female? .. make a warm dress and see where i come out...thank you for the inspiration !!! many greetings from Hamburg

Hi LorriMarie, what I was wondering about, trying this on a nice journal for my firend, is how you make the journal not stay sticky after using the spray. The foil did not stick everywhere, which was good, because I don't want to be one shiny golden notebook, but some places remained sticky. I ended up modpodging over it, but it took away a little of the shine. What can I do? Very small 'proble' compared to what's going on in the world, but you know, crafting keeps me sane. I hope your year will be healing, healthy and happy. Thanks for all the inspiration!

What fun LorriMarie! I so admire you for creating in any situation. I have a stash of paper bags just waiting for me to try that vegan leather... From watching your videos i can't decide if you run it through the cuttle bug while the modge podge is still wet or after it dries... I'm thinking while its still wet... I'm not LorriMarie but I can tell you thst I've found so many fun and unusual supplies for free, by asking. If you're on Facebook, write up a post asking for friends to save stuff for you. Even include that you're looking for paints and inks. You will be surprised. Use your budget for glues, mod podge, a quality brush, etc.

yes....if you put a bit of modpodge down and let it get tacky...not quite dry...the foil will stick to it...also...hairspray works...or clear acrylic spray paint...there...so many choices suz! lol....go create, go play, go have fun!!!
