What a wonderful way to pay tribute and then cleanse. Always there in the layers. People always say why do you put something down then cover it up... well because it is still a part of the piece. Another wonderfully poignant piece! The other day, I was reading a few pages in my journal that I had written, and regretted what I had wrote, so I gessoed over it. It just felt like the right thing to do. I didn't want it in my face either. TFS Lil hugs xo

Such a cute little book! Fun! Tamara Laporte also shows journalling on the first layer of a piece and then it disappears as you add your layers. I have seen many many artists do this. oh eleonra..i do not use candle wax for anything...some people rub the candle wax on their altered book pages so they do not stick...does that answer your question? i hope so...when i dip art i use 100% beeswax..so...go create, go play, go have fun!!!
