Your art is absolutely lovely! I would like to vote for an entire journal of you using your art work. I am so glad you are using those beautiful alcohol ink tulips, I LOVE them!!! In the beautiful tuck pocket both pieces work. The Sakura has more shared colors, but the lavender piece brings a little more calm. I love both! But I hope which ever one you choose for the pocket the other is put on another page. Hope your weather is beautiful, Spring springing in your garden and your first lawn mowing session is enjoyable! I grew up with all sisters so I had to do lots of lawn mowing, but I don’t think I enjoyed it as much as you do! 🤣 Have a great weekend and week! 👍✌️❤️🌸😊

Thank you so much Melissa. I completely share your thoughts regarding the pieces for the tuck spot. I am still undecided which one I will use, but they will both definitely appear in the journal somewhere. There is a funny story behind my weekly seasonal lawn mowing. I used to get cross with my husband for not mowing it the way I would have liked. We used to have a ride on lawn mower, but our garden is too awkward and I never liked the finish, so I persuaded him to buy me a large hand held mower so that I could take over the task, and that’s what I’ve done ever since. Do he’s in charge of the hedge cutting and strimming. The weather has been beautiful here over the past couple weeks and I have already mowed it twice and will be out there again shortly for its 3rd cut. I completely switch off when I’m behind the mower and can stand back and admire the stripes once it’s done. Hope you have a great weekend too ❤️ x

Today's video was kind of a trip down memory lane, I remember you making them all. I like both pieces in the tuck spot but the background of the postcard makes it look like it was made for there. Good morning Lena. This journal has developed a mind of its own and I love the eclectic mix purely brought together by colour. I think I will leave the gardening until tomorrow as It’s Mothers Day here and Sam is on his way home from Uni for the Easter period. I haven’t seen Sam since Christmas, so I can’t wait to go and collect him from the train station. Alex and Danny are coming over later as well, so we will be enjoying a lovely family Sunday lunch at home together. Hope you have a wonderful week. This video has inspired me to dig out some of my art I did in the '80's! There are just so many possibilities in displaying your art these days than just hanging it on the wall. Also, I like the pink blossoms in with the purple trees. It goes well and is a little more unexpected than the purple blossoms! 😃

I love this idea and I've actually been hoping you would put your own artwork into one of your journals. I have seen your artwork many times over the last 6 years and love it! So, it's with much pleasure that I watched this video. Your artwork is so pretty and colorful and looks perfect in your journal, Nina. I've also received a ton of inspiration watching it. What I like best is that you take chances and try so many techniques and artistic pieces--and you are an innovator and very creative too. I have tried many of the different things you have done on KZbin from encaustics to alcohol ink and so much more. One thing really stands out to me and that is your work is soooooo. much neater than mine. On the rare occasion that you do make a small mistake though, you do not feel overwhelmed or disappointed, but instead, you keep going and don't quit because of it. I like that attitude of yours. I smiled every time you brought out some of your previous art work to use. It is awesome to see them used, and awesome to think about the day they were made. My favorite is the alcohol ink tulip because it works perfectly where you placed it!!! I like both the inserts and think they work well in either spot. I am so glad I had cerise pink in mind for the opposite page to the oriental die cut. I found all these pieces of artwork whilst I was rummaging around. Lovely… I recognized some of those artsy papers from when you created them… I like the second choice with aqua background and pink flowers because it draws your eye to the little pink flowers in the print on the left… I am still amazed how you can bring so many mixed papers that to my eye don’t go together but you end up making them look like they always belonged together. What a great idea, using previous artwork. I will have to dig around for some. I loved doing the ink tulips, I had forgotten we had done those. I remember I framed one and a cousin saw it and fell in love with it during a visit to my home. When she left I gifted it to her. I wish I had thought to make a copy! :)
