Writing a journal has so many benefits for your mental health.

A great message.Journaling is also incredibly valuable in reversing symptoms of chronic pain that is routed within the emotional brain. I'm often amazed by how much clearer I am about my feelings and emotions after I've journaled. Don't listen to the haters, your message is a good and valuable one.
