The faces of these beautiful lives lost haven’t left my mind. To actually be in the building and envision where each of these children and teachers were, to see the evidence left… i pray for healing for all who saw this. This reporter brought up Joaquin Oliver, it tears me apart knowing he could have survived, had evil not targeted him again. This was preventable! This is not “a part of history “, this is reality. The victims of MSD, and ALL other victims of senseless school shootings are NOT HISTORY! We cannot for a second put them in the past, but keep them in today and tomorrow, and fight in their honor! “ this will never happen to us”… I hope there are extreme change so it doesn’t!!!! 🙏🏻

I actually think she’s overwhelmed by seeing what she’s just saw. I just think she hasn’t been giving chance to process what she’s seen when she was put on tv to been asked about it. Can’t imagine it’s easy, & no way can you prepare to see it first hand after seeing the photos they’ve seen, heard the evidence of how each victim lost their lives that day. Aren't journalists supposed to be good at using their words? I heard another explain her steps and what she saw, excellent use of her words. Naming a student's desk and the notebook that was open that showed what she was working on. Heartfelt, yet explaining to us masses with detail. I'm surprised that this journalist had nothing to say on such an important assignment.🤔 Also when she said,"we couldn't jot down notes. All we had was pen and paper." 🤔And to keep saying,"you know" umm, no we don't know.

At one point earlier on the anchorman, sensing that this reporter wasn't offering anything of substance, mentioned one of the victims, J Oliver, and the circumstance of his death, trying to tow her back to more concrete reporting. But that went right over her head and she kept drifting on the "solemn pressure" she was under. Quite a few folks on this thread defended her with such excuse "she was only human., etc..", they don't seem to realize that they are defending incompetence and half-assed jobs.

Although the building's demolition will provide much-needed closure to all the MSD family and community, I think that every one of our federal legislators and state governors should similarly be made to tour this crime scene before it is destroyed. They need to see, firsthand, how a sudden, violent mass shooting can disrupt and destroy so many lives...and look at the human carnage and suffering just one lone gunman caused. That this continues to happen again & again, is outrageous and tragic.oyr elected officials are the people who can, and should, be working to stop this through accessible mental health services, hardened school campuses, more comprehensive background checks to purchase firearms, and common sense restrictions on the ownership of high capacity/military grade weapons and ammunition. Maybe seeing the actual result of their inaction, might make them realize the human cost of continuing to do nothing.
@newhorizon40662 жыл бұрын
Instead of demolition, I wish the victim families be willing to make one final sacrifice, for the 1200 building of this school to be preserved as a museum, with the crime weapon deserving a special room of its own. And the soundtrack for the museum tour is the forensic doctors testimonies at the penalty phase, plus the recounting of the event by the survivors. That way we will have something concrete for the whole society at any one time to learn about the carnage, both physical and psychological, brought about by gun violence. A young body pumped with 12 high velocity bullets deserves a place in our national conscience.
