RF micro needling wrecked my face after just one treatment. Aged 5 yrs in one. It melted fat and left me looking so much worse. Glad I had a busy schedule and noticed it before I could get to the second or third treatment because I would have been a tragic mess.

Absolutely fantastic video! I love Alice and boy does she look great! As someone in my 60s who is looking for skin tightening it was really interesting to hear about the different modalities. I think the main problem is finding a really good practitioner who will know what will be the most helpful treatments to achieve the results you want. How do you know who’s good and who isn’t? It’s so easy for the unscrupulous, or even someone who is just not that talented at it, to play on our insecurities about the way we look. I want someone who will be really honest and not try and get £1000s of pounds out of me just because they can! Thank you Clare for a really helpful video. ❤

I'm almost like the American version of Alice lol. I'm 40 and have been doing 10 years of tweakments to my face and body. I've done almost everything (including 3 fat transfers) except a facelift. I'm just chasing one thing after another, playing a game of whack-a-mole. When a round of treatments ends, it's time to start all over again. It's an unhealthy hobby and obsession. CoolPeel, neuromodulators, and fillers are my #1 picks. Sculptra and PRF injections have always been the biggest disappointments. Quite literally money pits. It takes many syringes to get a tiny result. RF micro needling for the face is a huge no-no. Expensive skincare has also been a waste. I'd rather go back to drugstore brands and focus on fitness and good sleep. Expensive lessons learned.

@@bronwynbehan5942 3 CoolPeels, quarterly neuromodulator (especially under the eyes), and HA fillers. As I look back on a year of spending ~$20k, I looked better at the start when I had less stress in my life. So I’m probably an idiot for everything I’ve done to my face. I just need to adjust my lifestyle and work on my self worth.

I completely agree with you. So much time, effort, and money have been wasted, and it feels like swimming against the current. At this point, it’s clear that aging will happen no matter what we do or how much we spend. Even the wealthiest people, with access to the best technology and resources, are still aging. I believe that if there’s ever going to be a real solution to reverse or stop aging, it will come from within us-something in our DNA or our cells. It’s an internal process, not something we can simply buy or control externally.

Thank you Claire. Fascinating interview with Alice, who looks wonderful. I'm going to save it and re-watch, taking notes this time! For anyone considering IPL I had 4 sessions on my cheeks and chin for telangiectasia earlier this year. Results are fabulous; I no longer need to use foundation and concealer to cover the redness, which has 90% gone. A bonus side effect is skin rejuvenation. I use spf50 every single day and G&G A game 10 retinal three times a week, but I now have smooth 'glass' skin that reflects the light. Just got to pluck up the courage to have fully ablative C02 laser for mouth lines now!

I had fillers, botox, lasers, bbl from the age of 37-49. At 49, I had a deep plane facelift 4 months ago. I love it!!! After 50, you need to be a billionare if you insist on surgery-free tweaks. It was getting very expensive and I was never 100% happy after 46… the facelift is a game changer! I feel relieved that I don’t have to go to treatments- now I just use SPF and lipstick❤

A good practitioner is the best take away. Look at many before and afters and don't be afraid to ask how long and how many treatments they have done and where were they trained Is the equipment up to date is another concern. Also what can be done if anything should go wrong. Be careful with LED and can cause hyperpigmentation in some skin types. Microcurrent is wonderful in my experience.

Injecting platysma bands is risky, I had issues swallowing. For a could have days. And I believe it made my chest sag. Will never do that again. Botox can deactivate muscles long term. Think about your muscle after a cast has been worn. When you're young, you regain strength. When you're older, not as much. And the falling brows of older women is evident. Let's see these girls faces who started at 20 when they're 50....

As for interviewing someone of colour you have for example Natural Injector - Emily Dowe, PA-C. (I saw that question brought up in the comments). I think people are rightly afraid of doing laser on Fitzpatrick 4 to 6, because there have been very negative results with some lasers. I'm not an expert but I think there are newer lasers that don't cause traumatic results on Fitz 4 - 6. I don't know what they are called though. (I'm too afraid of facial fat loss to ever consider a laser, so I tend to not look too closely at them).

I wish that there would be more warnings about blindness and necrosis with fillers. I bet a lot of people that have fillers are not aware of that risk. From what I have seen from customer reviews, all heating devices are very hit and miss. The failure rate for heating devices is too high for my liking. It's good that there is a lot of info about the fat loss from heating devices though. Thanks for the interesting interview.

I've done a fair bit on the channel about the risks with fillers and the pros and cons. The fact that in the UK non-medical professionals can inject filler is mind blowing to me.

@@thehonestchannel Yes, and thanks for informing us about that. 🙂 Some other channels don't say anything though. Oh, that's not good. Since 2021 in Sweden you have to be a registered doctor, nurse or dentist to even inject Botox. That law will probably be all over Europe eventually.

Just clarifying as I am similar to you in wanting to use a device the most minimal amount for (still) the desire effect. I have started using the Nira pro. You mentioned using at 50% which you said is every other day. If they suggest using it 2x a day wouldn’t it be use of 1x a day for use at 50%? If your calculation is correct I may drop mine use a day to every other if that is considered 50%.
@thehonestchannel2 күн бұрын
Hi. I discuss frequency with Nira founder David Bean around 24mins into this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXbGfJuXptFlgbM but, yes, either using once a day or twice every other day. I actually only use it once every other day but that's just a personal preference. I think we need to find a frequency we can handle long-term and that gives us results. For some folks that might be twice daily but I like to play these things by ear. Hope this helps!

Do you have any videos on Sofwave? Apparently it helps with tightening and lifting (regenerates collagen and elastin) without melting fat, but I'm still unsure about it. It only goes to a depth of 1.5 mm which is apparently in the dermis and not the fat layer. But I keep wondering: if everyone has different anatomy, isn't it possible that for some people 1.5 mm will be in the fat layer? Wondering if anyone has investigated further. Thank you!

When she shared her age, i was a little bit dissapointed and now i am covinced that when u pass the age of 60, no procedure is going to last or be effective and there are only 2 options : either u get used to the idea of looking your age, either you go to the surgeon for a full facelift and neck lift, if your state of health is good enough to allow the surgery.
