I think telling an older person they look their age is a problem because i am 44 and think i look more like 34. If someone told me i looked 44 i will be honest and say i would be offended and see it as a problem as i put a lot of work into how i look, i wear sunscreen and exercise and drink water and eat healthy and cleanse my face daily..so it would make me think its all for nothing if someone said i looked my exact age. In other words i expect people to think i look younger as i myself do think that due to my diet, cleansing, etc...And finally, telling someone in their 50s they look their age is different than telling a teenager they look 20 as if i was in my 50s id want to look 34 still, same as at 44 i want to look that age which i feel i do due to my regime. Im aware that after early 30s or so we change and see the odd grey hair and crows feet but i dont want it if im honest. And have to be honest, i disagree, i dont think everyone looks their age, i know someone who is 56 and i first met them 20 years ago when they were 36 and now they look exactly the same to me as they did then. I know a man whos 70 yet looks 52. Aging is a funny thing, some people seem to age whilst others dont. But either way i want youth back as to not have to worry about aging at all as i think from 34 and other people start to think about it, whereas before they didnt have to. You look great btw :)

You and cosmetic dermatologist Stephanie Kapple are the only anti aging podcasts that tell it like it is and is completely honest about what works and what doesn't work. The only thing that I question is the towel reduction of turkey neck. Because you can have turkey neck for 2' separate reasons. (1) From I er weight and (2) when you are not overweight and just have aged sagging skin. In this case hitting your face with a towel is not going to get rid of turkey neck. I just feel bad about spending al lot of my money on face devices that DON'T WORK.

So glad you find the channel helpful!The towel technique does sound questionable but I have had a lot of viewers tell me it’s helping their neck so I figure it’s free and worth a try. I have a feeling there’s something quite powerful about the combined friction on the skin and gentle pounding of the muscle. Totally hear you re the Easter money on devices. I have done so much of that. ☹️

At 71, I have a definite turkey neck. I suspect I'd fit in your category 2, although I used to be overweight. I've been trying the towel/turkey neck treatment recently. Somewhat to my own surprise, it does seem to help. I don't think it's going to make my turkey neck go away completely, but free reductions are nice. The technique may have a mild toning effect on the underlying muscle plus increasing circulation, which may be what's causing any improvement. I hear you about spending money on things that don't work, although I've been fortunate on those as far as at home face devices go.

I’m facing a huge issue. I lost some weight. I started face yoga and face massages. My face has become so thin after starting all this. I guess all the lymph on the face is drained and gives such a hollow look !!! Now I’m worried about using the Ziip halo that I bought :((
@thehonestchannel
@thehonestchannel Күн бұрын
Sorry to hear this. So many factors go into volume loss in the face and sometimes they can all land at once - age-related changes, hormonal changes and weightloss can compound. I haven't found using the ZIIP regularly has caused any volume issues personally and I don't think that's a common issue with this device. I'm afraid that's about as much as I can say though as we just don't have a lot of data to draw on.

Can 40k at home device can cause fat loss on 10 energy setting? I have one from surebeauty that I got for 200$

That's not something anyone would be able to predict I'm afraid. Most people have no issues using these devices at home and so I would say the risk is low but there are reports of fat loss with both clinical and home devices and we discuss the possible reasons why in this video.

Yes, I've used the Qure at home device which I liked and have had a couple of clinical microneedling treatments too. I think it's good for improving the skin surface but isn't going to make a big difference to more advanced signs of sagging and jowls in my view.

I recently added Niacinamide, 500 mg, and NAD itself, and felt immediate effects , within 24 hrs. The Niacinamide is very inexpensive. Would I get more from NMN? Don't know that I need it. Not only did this B3 reduce pain and stiffness, there was an obvious energy boost. I agree with the post below that Glutathione is very important, so I take NAC/TMG/Phosphatidle Choline, as well as Injections of Glutathione. These precursors also gave quick benefit, and I would say to everyone that Choline is absolutely an unsung hero. It's Viagra. I'm getting a Plaquex IV every other week. For NO, I'm using Cardio Miracle. After years of misery, I feel energetic and normal... at 65

Hi! I found this very interesting and I do agree we drink way more alcohol than we should. But I drink every day since I retired two years ago and my grandmother drank a lot and lived disease free to the age of 95. My father in law is 98 today and drinks daily. He is still working and is sharp as a tack. Though the video is convincing and scary, I will say that at age 68-1/2 I bet most people would take me for 50-55. My skin is not as tight as it was premenopause but I still have natural light blonde hair, no bags under my eyes or dark circles, great teeth and I wear a bikini really well and I never work out. I am the same size as when I was 17 and I never took HRT. I have never done anything to my face or hair or body. So, please don’t scare people into thinking they are doomed if they drink.
@thehonestchannel
@thehonestchannel 3 күн бұрын
You certainly look great in your profile picture Carol! The aim is really not to scare anyone and I’m sorry if you found the information shared by Dr Brooke scary. I drink a glass of wine myself on weekend nights, but I also think we have made it such a norm to drink a lot that it seems controversial to raise health concerns which is a strange place to be. Alcohol is a major driver of poor health and crime here in the UK and I feel duty bound to do more. That said, we did discuss how people in the blue zones etc who eat very well and are also very active and social do seem to be able to drink very moderately and enjoy long healthy lives so it’s a balance as with all things.

I get it. It’s in our DNA , I suppose. Everything is! I don’t advocate that people drink alcohol but I don’t think it’s as dire as this video made it out to be. I would post a pic of myself in my bikini taken right now but I’m very private and not one to flaunt. I don’t even have a photo on my friendless (for privacy) Facebook account. That said, I do enjoy your videos.

I am 76 and agree with you that I am not going to probably get the same results as someone 51 but I use the Ziip everyday, red-light every other day if not every, the Nira at night if I am not too tired (so every other night) and some different products none that are prescription. I am maintaining and receiving subtle difference. I am happy with feeling that I am doing what I can when I see my friends that do nothing. They are just allowing time and toxins to age them. Supplementing, Movement and attitude are the other things I am constantly checking in on! Thanks for the work you do. I enjoy how you bring your parents in on this journey with you!

There are always so many conflicting views around diet and lifestyle it is hard. I fall into the common sense bracket of balance and moderation in all things. Probably most experts would agree that drinking more than one or two glasses of wine at a time could not be considered good for health. Hope that helps.

I used to drink more regularly but haven’t in several years now. So when I do drink now, holidays and special events, the toxic effects are totally noticeable. When I took it more frequently, I believe the toxicity was felt as well … but I just thought it was “normal”. When you step away from alcohol you more clearly see and feel the negative impact on the body.

I’ve been on an Estrodiol patch & began using estrogen cream on my face & neck…..after about 5-7 days my nipples were very sore‼️And I’m 73 yrs old‼️. I learned if I used it only above my nose, it might not be too much. But I got off the face estrogen cream. Nipples are better since only using the patch.

No amount of alcohol is "healthy". We can have small amounts, which may not cause as much damage - but ultimately, alcohol is not good for the body.

As I’ve gotten older, 57 now, I have found that even a little bit of alcohol makes me feel like crap both mentally and physically. Several months ago I just quit. I feel much better in so many ways. Now when it’s the time of day or social situation where I normally would have a cocktail I do club soda with a little bit of pureed fresh or frozen fruit. Very tasty and replaced the action of drinking the cocktail.
