Truly awe-inspiring. A football stadium underground. The echo is incredible. Thanks for sharing it. Any idea how deep underground that room is? Some time in the distant past, parts of the ceiling collapsed to form those mountains on the cave floor. Imagine what that sounded like. The rock layers are so flat and straight, I'm questioning if they really represent millions of years ... wouldn't that suggest no erosion took place for all that time between each layer? Seems like the layers would have to be laid down pretty rapidly on top of each other.

Wow thats the most amazing cave ever. Such an enormous room. Imagine they built a tunnel to it and used it for something like a shelter or a space to live in. That'd be incredible.

There seems to be another passage across from the entry to the room, near the top, visible as a shadow at exactly 50:52. If I'm correct, and there is another passage, what are the chances anyone has EVER been through it?

Better shot at 56:06 I looks like a circular shadow. It's in the same stratum as the entrance you guys used. I'm pretty sure it's a recess, if not a passage.

Okay, before I go to bed, I have to ask a question. Do you guys take anything in the way of emergency equipment/provisions? I mean first-aid, thermal blankets, field rations, glow-sticks, emergency lighting, etc? I guess I'm asking, how extensively do you prepare, and do you consider the possibility of injury, getting stranded, vital equipment breakage? I'm just curious. Watching is as interesting as it is anxiety-inducing, so I can't help but wonder how many degrees are you separated from serious potential problems?

Okay, I'm going to bed after THIS. Looking at the room, it's crazy to think that that's essentially a sinkhole. All the empty space that makes up the room was filled by rock that fell into an open space that that used to be BELOW where the room is. Who KNOWS how big THAT space was, or what passages led into and out of it, all now forever buried...

We take no first aid or glow sticks, or emergency blankets, it would just weigh us down. We assume no injuries
@alden1132
@alden1132 4 ай бұрын
@@ActionAdventureClips I used to hike long distances, including on the AP, so I understand wanting to save weight. The thermal blankets I was referring to are also called "space blankets" or "mylar blankets." They only weight about 1.5oz, so you could carry several without adding noticeable weight. You can also use them to make an emergency tent. Just in case it's useful info, they also make ultralight medkits, which can weigh 3.6oz, and they may have even lighter ones. They wouldn't help with a bone break, but can help stop bleeding and prevent infection.

I read a comment about reverb which is quite normal for a cave structure however, speakers? The power of the sound waves would begin rattling all the lose sand pebbles and those precariously balanced boulders the size of a car or bigger and the entire cave structure would collapse in on itself. Just think if they did that with speakers. The twins would surely go viral but not in a good way. The reason I mentioned this is because many years ago a musical was made called the Sound of Music. Watch it if you can. All that classical music you hear was from massive concert sized speakers that we had back then. The props department as well as everyone else had erected those massive speakers in the Swiss Alps. Sacrilege was what it was. Of course though we never saw the speakers on the big screen. If you go to places where it’s formed by nature you don’t take everything with you and pollute that environment. Just look up at night on a clear night and watch the millions of spacecraft passing overhead. You can distinguish a satellite from an airplane easily. I’ve watched the night skies mostly from the telescope array in Hawaii and in an hour I’ve seen over 400 traveling around our planet. Take care of yourself and take care of your surroundings. There is no other planet nearby that you or I will ever see.

Gotta question that might seem obvious to cave divers, rock climbers. Why dont you tie a strap/short rope to the rope bag for areas you're crawling? You know where you can drag it behind you or pull along? 22:22 Edit* I see some wearing knee pads, are you using them? Why no elbow pads. Like the ones carpenter's wear. The thin soft one's maybe? I have been in caves but obviously clueless to this rugged, jagged, deep cave diving. So sorry if I'm asking stuoid or obvious questions. Genuinely appreciate your videos. I am disabled now and lucky to have people like you who share these experiences I get to live vicariously through! 😊 I believe its honestly worth that amazing opportunity 😮
@ActionAdventureClips
@ActionAdventureClips 3 ай бұрын
Lol most of the time when we try to drag the bags they get caught on the one little nub sticking out somewhere since there is straps and we don't want to have to backtrack to get it unstuck so we try and keep the bag right there behind us or in front but there has been situations on a very long but wide open sandy crawl when dragging the bag behind us on a leash would be much easier

Wow! Amazing the size of such a hollowed out space in the earth. Imagine the time it took to make a void of that size out of erosion of rock by passing water. It is such a massive space its impossible to grasp the time it must have taken and where did all of that rock turned sand end up going to after being eroded away? Farther under ground we know but how much farther? How much deeper? Is there more massive voids deeper below this one? There must be if this one could develop more could as well. Why hasn't the whole massive space caved in and collapsed, packing itself down and eliminating the entire space? Could that happen? Will it? Imagine being in there during a huge collapse that spared you in some freak pocket that held you alive but buried under so much rock that rescue would not even be something to think anyone would even attempt? You'd just be there until you starved to death.
