Rahul's perspectives & principles on what one should & shouldn't do in a crowd work are so matured & professional.. the more I see these new comics put out their "crowd works" where they're just straight out bullying the audience, the more respect I grow for this man..... His crowd work special is unbelievably hilarious..

Rahul's crowd work is most clean and respectful material I've seen in Indian comedy scene.... It's pleasure to watch his crowd works with such a spontaneous jokes!!

You see Rahul being stupid on Instagram and you see Rahul being a scientist and breaking things down so clearly about crowd work. I just love the bandwidth of personality he has. He's great! Also his opinion on Abish is something which needs to be considered. 😃😃❤

I have remotely zero interest in becoming a stand up comic and yet somehow I keep binging this series each time you post a new video. This is an amazing series! And you're a really good host Abish! P. S. I never comment on any video ever, and this episode was so dope, it just compelled me to.

Love the way how Rahul respects each of his audience member👏 couldn't find salute emoji. Not just audience member in general everyone (including self) - proof - him sharing the opinion (advise) that Abish should not do self deprecating jokes.

Love Rahul's crowd work. Loving crowd work nowadays. Even Matteo Lane links one person to another across the room. It feels like everyone is gonna become friends as soon as they step out of the room.

I am so glad someone finally made a point to tell Abish Mathew not to do self deprecating jokes. It genuinely frustrates me when he does that cause he is genuinely one of the funniest people and doesn’t deserve to be the butt of every hanging fruit. Rant over.

Doing crowd work is one form of stand up comedy which takes the most guts, cuz you never know how even the next 5 minutes is gonna pan out, lot of respect to you and all the comedians who do this kind of stand up! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

I agree with Rahul on the self deprecation. I also, am a self deprecating person but when you do too much of it i believe you lose value in people's minds consciously/subconsciously. Great episode, a lot to learn and Abish your improv skills can always bring in that $$ through comedy acting ;).

Was waiting for this to release. It is soo educational to watch Journey of a joke. Have learnt so much about the art of comedy. Thank you Abhish for this and bringing in Rahul,, an all time favourite. Love both of your work. Looking forward to more episodes. PS: lost a bit of focus, for your curly hair mangtika around 38:13, and Rahul's long toe at some point (right before 38:13.. I guess)

I agree with Rahul about the self-deprecating humor. I always find it frustrating to see how disrespectful some people are towards Abish in the comments (on other channels). And I never understood it since he seems really sweet and other comedians clearly like and respect him. I understand that it is part of Abish’s schtick especially when he does some physical comedy too where he is bumbling, like even that moment when he accidentally dumped the coffee grounds on top of the trash can. But maybe pulling it back a little would help. But like Rahul said about Biswa, that advice coming from a fellow comedian is just worth more. But anyway, love Rahul’s brand of comedy in any format.

Why Russell Peters needs to show subject I guess is his comedy deals with people from various culture and races, so the audience need to see how the subject is from a different walk of life, to understand the joke.
