I don’t think you overshared at all. You said your goal was to document your journey to making $1 million/month so those stream of conscious brainstorms are very interesting because it gives insight on how actions take place. I found you off the 505 podcast when you talked about IG content strategy. I love the tactical videos and strategy, haven’t really seen your tech videos. But love seeing your process overall!

These videos are great but as an entrepreneur I’m more likely to watch 3 sub10 minute videos a week over one 30 min video a week - but this same deep content in a podcast once a week is just as easily consumable - well done though always 🙏

so you'd prefer the videos be shorter? How would you want the podcast to be structured?

I'd love your perspective on this...knowing what you know about me and my content, what is the most valuable format I can deliver information in? I feel like I've been circling around different styles and formats, and this Blueprint animated version is a lot of work to put together, so if this is suboptimal, I'll shift away from it. If you could be piped information about content/growth/distribution in any format, at any length, what would you be most excited to consume?

@@kallaway just based on how I consume information - I can take in shorter bites of information at various points in my day when I take a break. So this is where the vlog was super easy to digest. And my big takeaway from the vlog was the 90 minute rule that ended up being one of my big takeaways in this video too. But I was willing to listen to it twice because of the extra detail given here & the behind the scenes look at how its applying to your business. A deep dive like this is easier for me to listen to even if I do choose to watch the video which I do most of the time anyway but I may only be popping my eyes over to see important visuals at key moments of the dialogue. So I feel like if you're going to do the work to research & then sit down to talk about a topic you might as well film it for the most potential reach & repurposing potential. But maybe you could use the vlog as a "trailer" for the deep thoughts. And then I might not worry about as much animations other than the super sauce moments - maybe this trains viewers that its less about attention retaining visuals & more about high impact visuals to pair with the high value info. And then definitely the option to access this episode of information from an audio only source may make it easier for someone to say "you know what I'm on the go but I wanted to hear what Kallaway had to say today" without needing to watch a video or read a newsletter. Whether you want to add the video to those sources like Spotify is a meta decision. I can see why you wouldn't want to send people all over the place too but maybe the effort you put in at the top can trickle down in a way that meets people where they are at any point of their day. You may even have the superfan who listens to a podcast at the gym but then wants to see some of the visuals so they consume the same episode in different packaging at the end of their day. To me that feels like covering all of your bases without working like a horse on being the most optimal at any platform - at least with long form. You're putting in a ton of work, love what you're doing, thanks for opening your kimono for us all lol!

I don't think you have to trip on which content pillars to focus on. 3 is casting a nice wide net. Nobody watches every video from their favorite creators. A good example of this is Peter McKinnon. He's rich and bored with digital photography so now he's focused on film photography. I have ZERO interest in film photography so I don't really watch his videos anymore. Most likely the people who are watching are like him, bored with digital and branching out to film. When I see a title that interests me again, I'll watch it.
