Hey, bro. Keep going, but don't overdue it. The 4 day split might be too much for you. You need time to recover. Don't feel pressured to hop back into it if you are not ready. I personally do only 2 days during the weekends. One upper and one lower. But I lift heavy and I am sore till like Wednesday or Thursday but by the following weekend, I'm ready to kill it in the gym again. Do what works for you. And please stop beating yourself up. That day was definitely a win. Even if you didn't hit your steps or protein. You spent time with your wife on her birthday. Happy birthday to her, by the way. And you didn't overdue it with the calories. I'm proud of you for sticking with it. You got this.

I had a coach tell me back in the day the best thing to do for soreness is move around to help break down the lactic acid buildup that’s causing the soreness as well as soak in warm water with Epsom salt I’ve definitely had some days back in the day where the soreness was too much to bear while working physical labor job and I bought bcaa’s and it helped me personally feel better

Good to know! Epsom salt bath tonight for sure!

Day 6 for me now! Today is also a rest day, but making sure to get 15 min walks in after my meals. Low-key days are the best! Excited for the gym tomorrow 💪🏽

Hey hey!! Don’t forget that you’re also building muscle and that might explain why the weight is fluctuating! Building muscle while loosing weight is always super hard mentally because you know that your working your ass off, but not seeing that number on the scale go down! I ended up using a scale that gives me more insight on my body composition and saw that my muscles mass had increased! You got this dude! 🎊

Hi Devrin! I just stumbled upon your channel today. I work with individuals who experience binge eating disorders and one of the factors I noticed was fasting all day (typically not seen as a choice but rather a disinterest in eating though) typically lead to overeating at night. I would recommend eating a very light meal in the morning and mid day that is protein heavy but has sugars like a fruit. Fasting can also have negative consequences on the brain and cognitive function when doing it along with being in a calorie deficit so i would be extra careful doing this. Im excited to see more of your weight loss journey, goodluck!

Hey man if your sore under eating like that only getting 1300 calories is really bad. How do you expect to recover and feel good? Try to hit the regular goal daily, I’m not sure is it around 2200-2400?
