How did you know which tests you had to take and how to best prepare yourself? Did you get a job as an actuary after a test or 2? ****You seem like you know the path pretty well I wonder what you suggest for some of us that don't have a clue about the prep and requirements needed to get into actuary work, but have a bs in mathematics?

ALEX CONGRATS! Go live your life now during this break! Back in 2017 when I was in college, I had an interview for an internship with Liberty Mutual in Seattle and I reached out to you to meet up. We were going to, but last minute I had to cancel the interview, so we couldn’t meet. Fast forward 4 years later and I actually just failed Exam 6 for the first time but hope to pass it this Spring and be in the same position as you are! Hope we can meet up one day!

Hey Kevin, I remember you and our meeting that almost was! Crazy how time flies. Thank you, I'm sure you will get it next time! I was shocked to see that I actually passed the first time. I thought I would have to retake it at least once. Such a brutal exam! Hope all is well with you!

Congrats man. I am also pursuing an ACAS credential and am preparing for MAS-2. Any tips on studying for this exam considering I hear its a lot more qualitative than quantitative? Right now I'm just reading source material, but am unsure how I will actually practice during the weeks leading up to the exam for the non calculation sections.
@mancinellismathlab74513 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yea the triple T/F questions for that are brutal. I recommend the ASM manual for that exam. The manual covers the content more extensively than most plus it comes with 6 practice exams! Good luck on that one!

Congrats and I'm glad you're making videos again! Seems like just yesterday I was watching your explanations for Exam P and FM SOA sample problems. Can't believe that was 4 years ago and I'm an ASA now. Looking forward to the videos!

Any tips for motivating yourself to study for 6U? The material is so boring lol
@mancinellismathlab74513 жыл бұрын
I can't help you with gaining interest other than seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. As far as getting that sweet pass though... I think what saved me is my constant determination to memorize the parts that needed to be memorized (the non-computational parts of the exam). Know all the regulation and SAO material really well and that's already a huge chunk of the material you know will be tested. This was advice given to me and I think it made all the difference.

Congratulations! Your videos helped me pass back in the days of P. (As you say, the good ol’ days lol). COVID killed my study desire (and most everything in life…) but back into trying now at MAS-1. Thankfully my position and career growth isn’t as reliant on passing these 😅
