KZbin's been my main source of entertainment for years, and I've never been a gamer. Ever.

Gamer myself, but wouldn't allow my children as young as those few in this video to play COD. It seems they picked the most dysfunctional human beings for this video. There are other gamers who have families/ careers/ social life and who are in a good shape physically, not as awkward as most speakers here.

I play video games, but something about hardcore gaming culture seems unhealthy. Is it all an escape from reality?

Whats so wrong with escaping reality?
@RooRoove6 жыл бұрын
It's only a problem when it starts taking over your life.

I don't think so, I think working 50 hours a week and society begging more people to replicate. That is a problem. Also religion in all shapes and form.

If too much its bad, a little diversion, not harmful, just beware, life may turn and twist, we never now when we are gonna fight on a real war, but just for water..

True, the addiction is bad. But as a man who plays games, I simply feel nothing but pity for people who don't play, especially if you're rather aware that they really don't get up to anything interesting at all.

the box in front of your face is your life. It's teaching you how to act, feel and think. I believe you lack the imagination to think of anything interesting.

Lots of negative comments on these gamers. Buts it's ok for coppers and the armed forces to play these games. Each to their own . My son play's ,but not twelve hours at a time. He's an excellent student and has been accepted in UOA Alberta ,Canada. He spends most of his time studying. He has a goal to enter Austriali's dental program.

Honestly, a lovely bunch. It's interesting to see a cross section of gamers and the function it serves different people.

"I can play non stop everyday without getting bored" I use to be like that as a kid and I hate my self for it, I wasted alot of opportunities because of gaming, while gaming is great as a hobby as an addiction is horrible, because is that one drug that kills your life meaning slowly, thankfuly I grown up and can't barely play a game for more then 2 hours before I get bored, but it's still effected alot in my life, and Im burnout from games expecially playing alone

Note that most are young people. Most will land on there feet. It’s a phase. I grew up with HL and CS, ended up playing WoW as hardcore as it gets. It was my job. Now i’m a contractor and don’t have any time or will at all to play games, any games. It’s pitty because i would like to enjoy it again. So to these people. Enjoy it while you can. But everything within boundries.

Don't think I met a single gamer during my 5 years at university in the '00s. Or maybe people just didn't say it if they were. (Ok, just remembered, I met one, but he had a girlfriend, so it doesn't count 😅)

I have nothing against gaming but being that said it sad so hear a 12 yr old saying "boys enjoys more violence" & 10 yr old's playing violent games like Black Ops. Kids should not be exposed to such violent games. That's one of the biggest loss to the society when kids start cherishing violent games !! That too in USA where access to guns is easier.
