Heroes of Terrinoth - another FFG, in this game you do roll dice and on one dice it has a CRIT hit. When you roll this you get to roll again and potential pile up hits. That mechanic FUN! This game needs some fun aspects like that. Like more trinkets that allow you to deplete to draw another card.

I'd like to see more :) Personally I love the card mechanics and preparation over dice throwing. Every turn gives me an interesting choice, which can change based on what is happening around me or what tests I need to pass for that turn.

Can't wait to see the expansions for this game, they could really go anywhere with them. They seem to be starting us off small story wise with a thief mission in the shire, but as the expansions come it should get far more epic, kind of feels like the PC MMO verion of LOTR in that sense. Give us a Gandalf miniature and campaign! It would also be cool to use those battle maps for adventures in a town and npc dialogue. With the app it is all doable. Regardless, can't wait to see more of this game from you guys!

Very valid points. I'm playing the game and understand what you're saying and agree. We have yet to learn how much 'depth' the game has. And, what expansions add to the 'depth' aspect. I would like to know what your final opinions are. Lastly, thank you for sharing!

Funny thing: I played the first 2 Missions 3 times to try out different group settings ( 2, 3 and 4 heros), and I faild the 1. Mission every time! xD But also won the 2. Mission every time :D Total opposit to you guys :) But I have the same feeling like you about the game. The card mechanic for me feels kinda meh, and I realy miss the dice, I REALY miss them^^ And the whole system feels kinda "light" and somehow boring and unexciting compared to SW:IA or even better Sword & Sorcery. BUT, that being said, it is indeed actually realy fun to play after all. It's kinda meh and exciting at the the same time. It's realy confusing :D And like you guys, what hooked me is the campaign aspect. I realy wanna know what else the storry has to offer :D And whats a real plus with this game, it is easy to learn and explain, it just takes minutes to get it on the table, and so it's perfect for an easy play session after a hard working day, or if you want to play with not so experienced player. So for me this game is kinda weird, but realy fun after all :) And it helps to bypass the time I have to wait til the language Edition of Nemesis will arrive finaly :D Waiting for Nemesis is one of the hardest things I ever had to do in my life^^

As a big LotR fan and solo board gamer this game should have been perfect for me. The biggest problem with it is 90% of the game is flipping cards over and looking for successes. It's so boring to be honest. Also the battle maps are a joke. Ironically the best thing about it is the app integration.

i haven't played yet, but a mate of mine rang me up the other day, he is a massive fan of LotR and FFG and he hated the game, went on a rant for like 30 minutes, said it didn't feel like LotR at all, hated the card flipping mechanic, hated the way the deck gets built (and he loves building decks) and felt it was way too random...
