Try out this wholesome, healthy and satvik Jowar Khichdi or Sorghum Khichdi which is a one pot meal and packed with all nutrients.
Servings - 5
Ingredients :
1 cup Jowar or Sorghum
½ cup moong dal
2 tbsp ghee
1 tsp cumin seed
2 bay leaves
2 small cinnamon sticks
3 to 4 cloves
½ inch chopped ginger
1 chopped green chilli
½ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp asafoetida or hing
1 chopped carrot
¼ cup green peas
¼ cup chopped beans
1 diced potato
salt as per your taste
5 cups water
garnish it with chopped coriander leaves
