Sorry to all my taz fans, but Lisa is such a fantastic game and I just had to dedicate some time to do an animatic for it. these games have some of the deepest stories I've ever experienced in a video game, I left out TONS off stuff so if you still want to play it you're not totally spoiled. (keep in mind it gets VERY, VERY dark.)

I love the little detail of when Buzzo gives Brad the joy for the first time, when he sinks back into the dark, the outline changes back into Buzzo as a child, that same child that was in love with Lisa, and the same child that was in Brad's Karate classes. Little details like that make this animation sooooo good. I love this so much

Yeah, very interesting choice by the artist. I think most lack of obvious chemistry in the game... Showcases: 1-Brad's lack of emotional expression 2-A world in which most present a toughness on the surface in order to survive Helps: 1-The game to not be verbose or too fixated on over-presenting the simple yet heartfelt connections 2-Keep the mood slightly more bland and dead in order to really hit hard with the times of crisis in which characters are finally showing themselves (Like the last scene that still cracks most people even if they had gotten used to the grim mood of the game up to that point)

I love the little detail of Lisa showing up and it’s Buzzo seeing her instead of Brad. You can see some unease with his face when she appears. Don’t know if that’s a detail you made on purpose, but I like it.

I feel bad for Brad, not only did he spend his whole life in regret but he goes on a whole quest to save one person he truly loves and gets betrayed by all of his friends and not only does he not die by the end, he become a blob of flesh that's only recognizable by its face.

One thing that makes the ending just a tiny bit sadder is that if you go to the final zone with no party members, you fight “Illusion of Friends”, likely meaning that Brad isn’t actually killing his party members.

This took me back to such a nostalgic feeling of playing LISA for the first time. Brad Armstrong dealing with strange and fantastical things, as well as lighthearted jokes n some pretty alright gang members. Also the heartbreak of self destruction and how it can affect others, leading to a cycle. LOVE how you capture a lot of emotions and the sheer insanity of things (cute campfire scene, TERRIFYING WALLY) amazing work

Watching this was so... so bittersweet. The game is a master piece and a tragedy. I get excited just thinking. This animatic gave me that same tragic and bittersweet feeling. I played a bit differently. I loved the quirky characters, but I played Brad as a drug-addled psycho who only cared about one thing: Buddy. He kept both of his arms, but he saw his allies as merely a means to an end. The party I had at the end though was Nern, Olan, and I think the stage magician kid. Terry ended up on the chopping block around the point where it was either him, or Brad's arm. However, I think that would've hurt me to hear what came out of Terry's mouth.

I had my save screw up on the first run, and my second stalled at the hub with Wally's and the Tiger Man after I kind of hit a wall there and was really busy with school, but I still have every intention of following through some day

For the people who cares. No, brad did not kill his friends. There's no way they could've reach brad without a boat. Even Shardy couldn't bc it was too rocky. Next, when you have less than 3 members. An enemy calls "illusion of friend" exist in their place. Brad was just hallucinating due to becoming a joy mutant. Also I just realized how nobody excepts Brad reacted to them being there. Finally, if brad was actually fight his friends then he would have gotten some exp (example: Brad fought Dyke and gain exp, so how would it be any different if he joined our team) Also a quick side note: you don't actually need to fight his team. Just beat Dyke and you win the fight.

Another thing is that these "illusions" will scan your members "id" to know who to turn into but if you don't have any then they will not transform. But the fact that the dev specifically calls them an illusion instead of just saying like "friends A" or B or C just further solidifies the fact that Brad was just high.

Every time I watch this I realize how grate the story of Lisa is, and how great this video is. It executed the Journey so well. Terry Nern and olan where literally everyone’s original party. In its core this video Isn’t really about Lisa or buddy its a story of four men who have been working together to survive in an unforgiving world, of how they became friends. And It all ended in tragedy.

There is *one* element of this game and LISA: the Joyful that hurts me more than anything else. Rando. He’s was genuinely nice person who was just seeking some love from the person he idolized and then he got mutilated. He tried to be nice to his master again after being rejected after not talking to him in years and he gets beaten within an inch of his life. He tried to dissuade his sister from disturbing the semblance of peace that was still there and she ignored him. He ended up dead for being a nice person.
