After almost three months it is complete! Took so long partially because life got busy, procrastination, change in quality, etc. Either way, I've been long overdue to make a project of my own!
Fear not, I am working on Copacabana as we speak as well! This animatic was just a nice little outlet to give a show I enjoy some animatic love, and also a decent reflection of my improvement and new skills!
Everyone's support has been wonderful, and I am thankful for all of it! Hopefully you enjoy this animatic as much as I did making it ^^

3:03 I LOVE THE SYMBOLISM! Yuri is the "queen" now because Nanno is dead and Junko is the pawn because she did whatever she did to her mother because of Yuri. But what they don't know is that Nanno is a force. Even if you kill her, she's still playing the game. They don't even know that they lost because they're too focused on each other. Nanno already beat them.

This is literally so beautiful- the movements and scenes to connect to the episodes of the show are great. Then Nanno & Yuri being together in one frame was awesome and scary. I felt bad for the male actor doing the dog action even though the character he's playing is a bad person. It was like the directors were crossing the lines on that episode... I forgot which episode was that- and i vividly remember the show. But i liked it:) Anyways, you're amazing!!!

I may just be cold-hearted, but personally, I didn't feel that bad. He absolutely was an awful person; but especially if you remember that same guy forced a bunch of freshmen kids to take off their shirts in front of each other. He wasn't even physically hurt (until Yuri, whom represents Revenge and not Karma like Nanno, stepped in), just humiliated, and made to feel trapped; just as he made a whole classroom of children feel the moment he became a senior. So, to be fair, having to stay in a cage was practically nothing compared to the huge lines he'd crossed.

I don't think you're cold-hearted, moreso having the mindset of: "what goes around comes around" saying (idk what it means 😓), like vengeance for the victims and for hell to reign on the wicked aka this bully senior for an example.

It definitely is a grey area, in a way; just saying it's kind of hard to beat forcing children into sexual-scaled acts (forcing them to take their shirts off, the centipede shtick he pulled, etc) compared to having to sit in a cage for awhile. I do believe if it weren't for Yuri stepping in, he would've learned his lesson and possibly even grown for the better. Or at least, never want to risk running into a being like Nanno again. Many, if not all, of the people Nanno encounters were really just made to feel how the victims felt, Nanno playing a copy of their characters to hold up a mirror. But ultimately were left alone by the end, left with their own future choices and thoughts. Such as that one guy who not only carelessly played with multiple of his girl classmates hearts, but impregnated them before dipping. He was not only made to feel like an object by Nanno, but was also impregnated with her kid. The episode ends with him not only apologizing to one girl who decided to keep her baby, but desperately asking for help with his own baby. Or the ruthlessly strict teacher who would lock students in a cell for hours, if not a full day, but the episode ends on her learning by Nanno recklessly breaking the rules and challenging her perspective; that she absolutely went too far, and even came out as a very clearly years long closeted lesbian. But Yuri was ultimately more cut-throat, "what goes around comes around, you deserve to die. No lessons learned," which I actually don't believe in myself, despite my low-sympathy.

So definitely not a fan that my first comment came across being on the side of revenge, it seems. Mistake on my part. Definitely great that the victims got justice, but unlike Yuri's perspective, guys like that senior and (most) others in the show had potential to change for the better, or to at least never do what they were doing again, and were given that chance. You're left just crossing your fingers. Which I actually support. They absolutely had the potential to change. Keyword on most. Because to be fair, I would've raised a brow if the show gave those two girls who made money off of recording other girls getting 🍇ed a second chance. I got a line, and that's where it ended for sure. But oftentimes, and unfortunately, people like that senior guy never take a good, hard look in the mirror until they actually meet the consequences of their actions. Just as myself; I used to be pretty shitty myself, all explanations of my behavior aside, until someone finally made it clear explanation doesn't equal excuse, and put me in the shoes of those I hurt. Sorry for the paragraphs. Just a fair fan of the show myself. Really gets the gears turning. Please don't drop any important business for all this, haha.

Im not sure if this was intentional but sometimes their noses look like clown noses, which I find to be some very interesting visual storytelling! Theyre all clowns in Nano's game, but in turn they (including Nano) exist for our entertainment. They cant escape the cycle of performance
