Joy Division were one of those bands that brought metalheads and punks together. They had a special sound.

joy divisions live stuff reaches a level of brutality that most hardcore and screamo bands still struggle to match. the studio recordings are a lot more restrained and intimate feeling, however the more intense live sound matches the desperation of the lyrics perfectly and creates a vibe that is disgustingly oppressive. crazy to think this was written in the late 70’s

Where will we end? Well, not in a nice place. But I'll prefer, at any time, to travel with this in my ears - destined to destruction and fall. Doomed to eternal suffering rather than chewygummish moments of nothingness in an endless popsong.
