Honestly mate, of all the millions of guitarist doing stuff on YT, there's no-one doing stuff as good as this. You've got me back playing and learning all the old stuff from back in the day. Great fun. Love your lessons. Easy to follow and play along to. You really nail the guitarists you illustrate and appreciate their unique talent that make their stuff so memorable. You also nail each player's individual tone too. Have you done any videos on your set ups to achieve the "sound" for the tracks you're playing? Keep it coming, fabulous stuff.

Also saw the Cramps in the late '70s too. No wonder I subscribe to this channel! However, I couldn't play the guitar to this if my life depended on it. Nice one, Adrian

Saw JD 2nd to last gig in Derby . My heroes loved and still do . Had a guitar player named Karl with a shergold and he masters the sound spot on back in 83. This band lives forever and well done on your tuition. Do more J,D even though I play bass I can listen to this relentlessly 👍

I couldn´t agree more about Bernard Summer. Being a good guitarist is not about jerking up and down the fretboard very fast; it´s about developing your own style, having an ear and being able to play in different keys. Plenty of great guitarists who are not super technical

Great! Also, very helpful to get an insight on some of the equipment you’re using to get the tone. So few KZbin guitar lessons have that. I’m old enough to have seen Joy Division live...I was still only 16 when I got into the gig at ULU. Ironically, my mate down our street in London, who also took up guitar tab the same age as me in ‘78 but was into ‘heavy rock’, as it was called then (Led Zeppelin etc.) upgraded his guitar to a brand new, black Shergold Masquerader just like Bernard Sumner’s, even though he didn’t even know who Joy Division were! I upgraded my guitar to a secondhand Fender Telecaster. Somehow it seems like it should have been the other way round, huh? But, to be honest, I was a 15 year old Punk and I thought the Shergold looked wank! Besides, Joe Strummer had a Telecaster and at the time that’s all I cared about....hahaha! I wonder what those guitars would be worth now, huh? I think I still take the Tele....LOL! Thanks for the lesson.
