My "theory" is that the laughing was more like a "Leftover village" laugh. Whatever Roger Crew found at Laugh Tale was so shocking that they could only laugh. It never made sense to me why no one who went to Laugh Tale with Roger (or Roger himself) did anything with the info they learned there. Rayleigh even tells Luffy that when he gets to the last island himself maybe he'll find a different answer than Roger did. There's also Whitebeard's line to Teach that he wasn't the man Roger is waiting for. That kind of implies that when Roger told him about the Will of D and Laugh Tale he also told him he wasn't ready for what he found there and someone else would have to finish the job. The "treasure" certainly wasn't gold or some other valuable, which may have been what Roger and co. were expecting, but a really ugly truth and the responsibility of bring the "Dawn" to the world. Could be that it was too much for Roger... not only because he only had a year too live. The One Piece being a device is interesting, but I'd think Joyboy wanted someone to find it, so making it something you can be too early or too late to find seems counterproductive to me. Not to mention Roger and co. did learn about the Will of D and the ancient weapons and the Void Century; why reveal all that to anyone who gets there, but then not allow them to undo what the WG supposedly did?

The One Piece is all 3 ancient weapons combined, Poseidon uses the sea kings to pull Pluton (which is the Noah and is not a massive battleship it’s just a massive ship) to the surface where they use Uranus, a massive cannon or beam weapon that mounts on the Noah (creating the REAL One Piece by combining all 3 of the ancient weapons into literally One Piece). Roger is laughing when he learns about the One Piece because he was so close yet so far having gotten there but is not in possession of any of the ancient weapons. The straw hat grand fleet will use the weapons to destroy Mariejois and the red line creating the All Blue. Luffy will already be king of the pirates when this happens and he’ll gain an even greater title, probably not the king of the world or anything like that.

I feel like it's worth mentioning that whatever Roger found, he knew somebody would have to rediscover, and for some reason, it wasn't something that his crew would be able to do later, that's why he chose to let the world government execute him. He knew they'd make a giant spectacle out of it, and in that moment he would have the largest audience to get his message out, and to get others to look for the one piece. Rayleigh and them also knew it was important to let at least certain people know, that they really needed to not just get to the end of the grand line, that they had to find the final island, yet the journey would still have to be important, because they never told anybody how to get there. Could also have something to do with why Shanks gave Luffy the hat, almost as a signal to other members of rogers crew, that "hey I think this boy is the one, let's help him get there" of course the 1st thing that comes to mind is the initial D that luffy had, but I think there's more to it than just that, but I still think that's a piece of the puzzle.

also on a side note as far as the destruction of the red line, luffy has a habit of destroying things in his final fight with a villain anyways , took down Arlong park when he defeated arlong, took out the ruins that crocodile had pretty much used his entire plan to get access to, moria he broke like the castle or mast or something, flamingo he breaks a large portion of the entire island, or you could reference him breaking through the birdcage technically. Either way i'd expect he would just very literally break through the redline and I don't assume he'll need a mechanism, however it would make it more ironic, if that ended up being the main point.

So Tekking, I've been thinking, you don't strictly need all 4 road poneglyphs to find Laugh Tale, you could do it with only 3 of them... If each of the 3 poneglyphs you have mark each a different spot, then they form a triangle between them. The fourth one has to be of a point outside of the formed triangle, otherwise the lines connecting the points would'nt intersect and indicate where Laugh Tale is. So in this manner, the point where the lines intersect would have to be somewhere atop the borders of the triangle. So theorecticaly, all you would have to do is sail perfectly along the borders of the triangle and eventually you would pass Laugh Tale Island!

What if joy boy left a puzzle behind from 800 years ago, but there's one piece missing like zunesha being the piece missing? because that part when oden and roger felt something off zunesha i think is very important later on and also how to get zunesha to laughing tale because it keeps walking but to somewhere? And that was the reason they were laughing because they had the last piece of one piece infront of them but couldn't figure out then and so someone els gotta do their work for them in the future a D like Roger as Roger didn't have much time left after that.

Laugh Tale will probably have stuff or information on it that relates to each of the straw hats dreams. Luffy and Robin obviously fulfill their dreams at Laugh Tale, along with Franky if the sunny makes it there. We might get medical information, so Chopper can cure any disease We might learn about the All Blue, for Sanji. Map fragments of the world or other hidden islands for Nami to find for her world map. Sword or combat techniques, for Zoro. And I don't really know about Brook or Jinbe.

So about the ancient weapons: Poseidon = Greek God/Ruler of the Sea aka controls everything living in it. Pluton = Roman God of death, derived from Hades so the ship could be the bringer of death, big weapons and all. Uranos = Greek father of the titans, so he created a very important piece of greek mythology...maybe its a device or method to create perfect devil fruits? It makes sense in my head.

Just a thought... is Vivi an ancient weapon? Crocodile was looking for the ancient weapon in Alabasta and the poneglyph told Robin where it was, but she never actually said where. She wasn't really surprised to discover Shirahoshi was an ancient weapon. This could explain why the ancestors of the Nefertari family left to this island as well. Also this explains why Im was interested in her.

Also this just came to me. During the *Edd War* Shiki talked about the Ancient weapon Roger found. A lot of people assumed it was going to be Uranos, while this chapter implies that it was Poseidon, except he didn't found it physically rather knew where it'll manifest and when.

I think Although a lot about poseidon was talked about in the chapter, I don't think that was the reason why they laughed. Because on the last page, Roger laughs and says, "what a funny story". So, I think the laugh by everyone was induced by something really funny that we would laugh too. This reminded me of the whole situation with duval. It was so damn funny and ridiculous but still it was so important to the story. Only oda can write like this and I think the 'one piece' is something like that, that's so funny yet very important.

Here's my theory. I don't think it was a joke that Roger was laughing at. In the translation I read, Roger said "You left behind such an unbelievable treasure." Before that he spoke to Joyboy as if he were actually there. My guess is that a large part of the true history if not all of it is Joyboy's story. We might get it as some sort of backstory someday. Anyway, in this story of Joyboy, there was a central item that had great relevance, which was the One Piece. When Roger, being so familiar with the story at this point he feels he personally knows Joyboy, finally sees this treasure which he has grown to know so well through the Poneglyphs and realizes that IT is the treasure he was looking for, he laughs out of a kind of celebration. It would be like being a knight crusader who has been reading the Bible his whole life finding the Holy Grail. He would laugh because this great amazing thing he'd been looking for is indeed just a simple cup, but the fact that it is amazing doesn't change. Then again, it could be something actually unbelievable and unforeseen. I mean this is the guy who laughed at his own execution.

I like the theory that the ancient weapons are keys. I thought of it as. Pluton destroys the outer shell. Posiden gets the treasurer out of the shell. And uranos gives the code to open it or something. I saw a theory video (I think it was B.D. Law) that the ancient weapons representative of haki; Pluton Armorment Posiden conquers Uranos observation
