This has to be the most mysterious Devil fruit for the longest duration of the series. When you first saw his power, it was creepy as hell. They made sure to show the hands moving to contrast it with a puppeteer, but I never considered what was connecting him to the victim or what conditions he had to meet for it to work. It seemed OP as hell (Like almost every other devil fruit in the show lol). Worse, when he *FLEW* to Punk Hazard I threw all my assumption s out the door. How the hell was he flying was beyond me. Now strings make perfect sense.

Doflamingo can definitely get stronger after he gets busted out of jail. He could create a suit of string amor that boost his speed, shoot strings out and cut those around him, act as the ultimate defense if it’s made out of the same material as the birdcage with haki infused in it, make him faster as it act as a muscle mesh, etc. He could’ve used his clones more and have them have the armor as well and supply them with it with his awakening as well. His arsenal is just so vast and he could be so strong if Oda wanted him to.
