Ooh I like the idea of Luffy pushing Saturn into Kuma’s pain bubble. The sheer amount of all the suffering is too much for Saturn to take and he dies. This gives us both the ‘Egghead Incident’ as well as a nice thematic thing of Kuma not being broken by enough pain to kill an actual demon/monster Edit: Thus in the process, Luffy (Nika) gets rid of Kuma’s bubble freeing him (!) from all the pain and suffering allowing Kuma to finally be truly happy and free with his daughter before he dies

Wouldn't it be ironic? Saturn let Bonnie stab him so he could 'feel pain' because it was a long time ago and then Kuma comes to give him the ultimate lethal pain that je deserves. Also, I do think Kuma can use his pain bubbles as a weapon. He did flick a small amount of Luffy's pain into Zoro as a 'taste' without Zoro doing anything.

Another thing, whatever deal kuma made with the government, I believe he made a final failsafe with vegapunk. Something to make it so, even whe his personality is completely gone, if that triggers he'd stop whatever he's doing and go directly to bonnie (woth his powers we know he can) I believe he's ATM soaring theough the skies towards egghead, and he will be there in the nick of time to save the strawhats. Another paralell with sabaody, there they were saved by raileigh, but when he wasn't enough, kuma showed up. Right now we know there's another relic of the past awakening in egghead, but maybe that will not be enough to get them out of trouble, so kuma will have to save them once more.

I haven't watched this yet but I have a theory regarding what's gonna happen when we get back to Egghead. We've had that "weight of the soul" talk earlier in the arc and that has to come back around so what if that's the only way to take down the gorosei? Imagine Kuma pulling up to save Bonney and forcibly removing Saturn's soul from the immortal body in order to render him defenseless. Maybe that's why he's taken so much damage, maybe he'll swap bodies. The last part is less solid in my mind but I really think that's the only way you can eliminate them. Also, this would then be a perfect opportunity to have Kuma push the paw-paw fruit out and give it to Vivi, so she has the skill necessary to take revenge on those who killed her father.

I haven't read a lot of comments, but one thing to note about all the "nothing happened every week" part of the flash back is his explanation. Depending on the translation he says he must absorb the pain or it will fester and they will never be rid of it. I think that directly ties back to his memories and how Kuma has retained some autonomy and free will even after everything that has been done to him. His memories were still there bound to him.

When Joy Boy started talking about the four directions, as related to Chinese mythology, I immediately thought of the four great beasts. The Blue/Azure Dragon of the East is exemplified by Kaido, whom we already saw in action. The Vermillion Bird of the South is sometimes conflated with the Phoenix of Western mythologies, which connects to Marco and his healing flames. The White Tiger of the West differs in color only to Fujitora, one of the two admirals drafted/promoted during the time skip, although his desire for 'merciful justice' can be considered pure like the color white. The color yellow through me off and despite knowing it's a Kizaru parallel for color-coding (It seems the four oceans and the four directions are separate concepts.), the Black Turtle is the guardian of the North; despite Pekoms having a turtle based Devil Fruit, we have not seen any character (yet) with a turtle epithet that has shaken the very fabric of the world. The first character that comes to mind is the patient, lingering evil that is Blackbeard/Marshall D. Teach, but I would like the turtle epithet to go to someone else that we know or we will not meet until the final battle.

I like to think Buggy and Shanks is now a pair that fought to get that treasure chest they were found in, only to be stored there after they got aged down to point of nearly not existing (babies) after Kuma stole Buggys memories. Could also be that Shanks didn't have his memories either... the person who held those died around the time Roger Pirates visited the last island. I'd also like to throw Ginnie died during that time, and Kuma holds current Buggys old memories... Or perhaps Bonnie holds them for some reason as she absorbed Kumas memories at current island... giving her quite a big death flag if this is true. And I like the foreshadowing if Kuma and Ginnie might come back in younger bodies...

Hello, big fan. Just wanted to say I just realized in the chapter that when Kuma said the bubbles will return back if no one takes them. If so then how is the bubble with his memories still there. If it's possible that he is no longer alive so it can't return does it make it permanently exist. Hard to say since we don't know if after bonney was done with the memory bubble it didn't disappear or not.

I think Kuma getting captured by the World Government is exactly what makes him become King. We know that these experiments done on Kuma didn't happen all at the same time. Just in context of the story pre to post timeskip we see Kuma become less human. Who's to say he didn't become king after being experimented on? As he lost more and more of himself he starts to turn into what we know as the "Tyrant King of Sorbet Kingdom".

So I've got a theory, separated twin theory, that luffy and bonnie are twins and where separated for there protection, similar to Luke and Leia in starwars, there are many similarities between the two. Now I think dragon and Jinnie are the parents and had to separate them to protect them, similar to starwars, also similar in that regard, bonnie was with kuma, who is considered a royal and give a different last name, just like Leia, where as luffy got sent with his grandfather and kept his last name just like Luke did with his uncle, probably a long shot but with how Oda likes to take similarities from other projects I could see this being possible

Your theory about Luffy and Bonney being twins is a very interesting one. There are certainly some similarities between the two characters: 1. They are both very strong and have powerful Devil Fruit abilities. 2. They are both very loyal to their friends and allies. 3. They are both very determined to achieve their goals. 4. They both have a strong sense of justice. It is also possible that Luffy and Bonney were separated at a young age for their protection. Dragon and Jinnie may have felt that it was too dangerous for them to be together, and they may have decided to send them to live with different people. Kuma is a very powerful pirate, and he would have been able to protect Bonney from harm. He may have also been able to teach her how to use her Devil Fruit abilities. Luffy's grandfather is a very powerful Marine, and he would have been able to protect Luffy from harm. He may have also been able to train Luffy to become a strong pirate. Of course, this is just a theory, and there is no way to know for sure if Luffy and Bonney are twins until Oda reveals the truth. However, it is a very interesting theory, and it is one that I think is worth considering.

I might have been the one to like that last comment. Last we saw with Saturn and Bonney, he was holding her up with all the Marines taking aim at her. I can see an image of Kuma coming as they prepare to fire, taking the shots for her, then blasting Saturn with a massive pain bubble. I do agree that I think Kuma dies at the end of Egghead, but I think he gets one good, ultimate revenge hit in before he does. I'd bet we see his return in maybe 3-4 chapter's, maybe 1,100 itself or the last chapter of the year.

So I actually love that last comment. I found it odd that Kuma has been able to deflect abstract things like pain and memories from the beginning. I always assumed that it was the awakened version of the fruit, the base ability being deflecting physical things. But maybe in his final moments he awakens his devil fruit which I can’t even imagine what that would look like since it’s already capable of so much. Whatever it is, it would be a really good way to do some serious damage to Saturn. I don’t think it’ll happen but I would love it if Kuma was the first person to kill an Elder. All the pain that he has endured, his desire to be a liberator like Nika, and his overwhelming strength makes it feel appropriate

I do think kuma can force the pain on someone it’s like saying he can’t hit anyone with ursus shock. I think Lukas pain bubble would be the size of oars and if Kim’s condensed it down like the ursus shock then he could use it as a projectile and Saturn has already proven he isn’t afraid of head on attacks but this would break him from the inside

Also I believe BB's additional DF powers is due to cannibalism, draw similarities to Big mom's flashback when she potentially ate her friends and mother caramel thus gaining her DF and when BB threw the sheet over Whitebeard's body preventing the world from knowing the secret.
