I always am interested in the phrase when it is high " Remember me". Invariably the word "me" is not a real "ee" sound.

Linguist and singer in training here... it's because the "" sound is not pretty when you try to have it correctly towards the teeth: the shape needed for the contrasts with the opening needed in the back of the mouth for the high note to come out, so often singers will get an sound that is slightly more central in the mouth instead that pulled in the front. It's still an acceptable variable (you still recognize it as "me") but WAY EASIER to sing :). In IPA (International Phonetic Alphabet) it would be more of a .

Thank god that she allows her vibrato to bring the emotion to this piece. What a restorative after all of the white voiced dead singers who sing without vibrato and lose al emotion in this piece.

I’m not a fan of her vibrato ever. It is more of a bleat or an unnatural tremolo. The technical problem is really exposed when she tries to sing anything louder than a mezzo forte. Still one can appreciate her artistry and commitment.
