I agree and I love listening to this, however her voice is a bit too rich for baroque. Baroque tends to have more fluid and light head voice where Jessye has more of bombastic area voice

@@brookeggleston9314 I think it is OK (no, it even is better) to have different versions for different tastes. While I'm listening to LHL I rather like this. You are a perfect example for what JN once said when asked about her register: "pidgeonholes are for pidgeons". I always remember the quote when I listen to this performance, and I always remind the performance when I remember the quote, and I remember the quote so often. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Her voice might be considered too "big" for baroque by some. But I still think Norman's interpretation is among the best. It is perfectly suited for the greatest of life's anguishes.
