Such a great, in-depth interview, Scott! It’s probably in my top 3 faves from interviews over the last decade+. Ms. Irby has been giving us so much LOVE because she doesn’t like doing VISUAL INTERVIEWS. I’m proud of her for many things but certainly for stepping outside of her comfort zone. 💜👏🏽🙏🏽👑

Awww, David. Nothing but 💜💜💜. Thank you for the support. I appreciate it always. Your recognition of Joyce’s accomplishments, and well as the unjust occurrences during her musical journey, means a great deal to her as well.💐 She most definitely deserves more respect & credit than what has been bestowed. I’m just honored to contribute and be part of the plight in a small way. She’s amazing and so talented.

Question, if you are a beginner, writing songs, how do you keep someone you show and allow to listen to your songs, from stealing them? Like if you go to a record company or even let a supposed friend listen to songs you wrote. I've heard stories about people sending record companies their song and the company will record it as if it were their own.

Very nice interview with Joyce Irby, I would like to add the first rap record by a female MC was,”To the beat ya’ll”, By Lady-B from Philadelphia in late 1979, I doubt if Lady-B’s record charted in 1979. “To the best y’all”, Lady-B(1979) m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZ63pKaDYtl0q9k
