Yeah i agree with your friend 🙏🏻🇹🇭buddhist country the people seems to be more humble,kind,friendly,peaceful,good lovers(women)🤣 and learning thai must be a good experience i think its a good idea to stay more days (a year at least)in lovely 🇹🇭❤️ but in reality its better to stay in 🇹🇭 forever and lets see what happened because the south east asia🇹🇭🇻🇳🇰🇭🇱🇦🇲🇲 life offers a better way of life, it could be a whole new experience also visited those flags lands.

Yes, buddhism rooted in most of Thai people, that make a unique charcteristic. Another reason is, we are open for multi nationality since the old age, so we familiar with it easily.
Thank you very much. You've become an excellent interviewer. It's funny to hear him mention your old room video's because they popped up on my screen yesterday. They were cute.
🗑 watching this is refreshingly therapeutic. reminds me of ni ni in "Rise of Phoenix". Like ur new look. Love how wise u r with spending habits. u got this. u r on ur way :()

Joyce, I don't know how to thank you enough for this clip. I enjoyed it TREMENDOUSLY. Both you and Mike did a GREAT JOB for this video. I get to know the joyful Mike and his book. I will have to buy it just to see what it is like inside. You and Mike get along so well and I liked that you two did this in the park which is 15 min. from my house. My worry now is that how I can find the time to watch your and Mike's channels more. I have to set the goals(like Mike said), not to subscribe to any more channels as I can't keep up with them any more. THANKS THANKS THANKS for creating this clip. LOVE IT. I'm gonna watch it again to pick up some minor details of you and Mike discussed. Cheers.

Chaozhou / Shantou (tiewcheow) is the major chinese dialect thai ppl know bcz one of Thai king (Thongburi kingdom age) is Tai-Chinese (tiewcheow). Chinese words in Thai not mandarin. Originally Thai never knew mandarin. Chinese tiewchew instill in present Thai culture that thai never feel chinese anymore.

Sad reality is a foreigner cannot take a local’s job. Besides remote jobs there is not much a younger person can do to live in Thailand with income support. I would love to live in Thailand but I need a physical job. I need to stay active. Online/remote jobs just ain’t for all.😢 I live it through you guys. Nice video.

Hi Joyce. To delve a bit into the Thai language question... 1. the closest language to Thai would be Lao. Thai has it's roots in Hmong and Khmer like Lao. 2. Written language development along the same route as spoken impacted by Sanskrit and the early Skri Lankan Buddhist movement. 3. Similarities between Thai and Chinese...none other than they are both tonal and the fact Thai borrows and uses a number of Chinese words that did not exist in their early language. A good example of such borrowing would be using English words for cell phone or mobile. There is no Thai equivalent so the actual English word is just used. This of course is a simple overview of Thai language which history is more complex. Hope it helps. Cheers. Allen

Tai Kradai, which Thai is a part of, has the root from southeastern part of China in Guangdong and Guangxi area. So, there really are similarities of basic words between both Cantonese (Southeastern China language) and Thai such as Kai (Chicken), numbers (1,2,3...) etc.
Hope to see another one where he interviews u? Something is wrong with 'buy me coffee". i tried 2x already.

Wow, I've never thought of what Mike said Thais were instilled from Buddhism.... umm that might be. Anyway, a proverb said "Coins always have 2 sides" there are bad guys in every society and I think they are minority in the world otherwise people couldn't have lived well till now. I'm Thai and I have to say thank you so much that you guys have good attitude for Thai people.

The nice thing about Chinese people going to Thailand is that they really assimilate to the local culture and eventually lay down roots and adopt Thai last names. It's a stark contract to Chinese who immigrate to Malaysia or Indonesia and really make a point to not assimilate.
@mn8931Ай бұрын
First Chinese people have been in Thailand since forever as early as 1500s. Second there is chinese blood in almost 40% of the population. Third, Chinese didn't immigrate to Malaysia and Indonesia that early, it was mostly in the 1900s. So it's very recent. Fourth, nothing wrong with holding onto your own culture and name. diversity is a positive not a negative. Fifth, the more a country discriminates and targets a group the harder it is to assimilate. Thais didn't attack and target the chinese like the local Malaysian and Indonesians did
