Idk if you ever found it but the radio amplifier that gets bypassed is located behind the passenger side panel in the back. The one with the cupholder real pain to undo, but the bypass does work

Your video was awesome for helping me with my install. Their directions say nothing about where to connect the harness! I will note that I seem to have new software and the CANBUS > settings were different. Mine were Simple -> Honda -> Honda-DA. Also make sure in the settings 'handbrake' is off otherwise it won't display the lanewatch camera while moving!

I believe it's needed for all models to get adequate reception quality for the radio.

Yes, I believe there is only one RCA, but when it comes to external amplifiers, I'm only a novice at best and could not tell how to wire it correctly!

Hi, great video. My question is, where do you plug the optical cable from the amplifier? I saw you plugged only RCA's and i don't think the amplified version's speakers are connected to the head unit but to the amplifier directly. Head unit is just sending digital signal via the optical cable and amplifier is doing the rest. Thanks

I didn't plug the optical cable into the unit, but if I remember correctly, there is a port on the head unit. My unit seems to be working well, but I will look into rerouting the optical cable if I can find it!

Quick question before I purchase this. I have a 2017 civic LX and reset my maintenance minders on the mileage knob and the tpms with the factory button to the left of the steering wheel. That will all still work correctly right? I’m asking because all the comments asking about this. I’m assuming that only applies to higher trim models tho.

As long as your phone is connected to the head unit, you should be okay without connecting the 4G, but I'm not sure about the GPS connection.

First make sure CAN box is set to RZC, car brand is Honda, car model is civic, and CAN box is set to 2016-2021-high if amplified and low if not amplified! Then try to reset everything.

@@Zspeed oh right! It’s a 2018 Honda civic Ex-T with the blind spot camera! Admittedly I literally just installed it today and will most likely need to check for firmware updates as well to see if that resolves any issues, I am overall very happy with it in spite of those issues, and your video helped immensely during install

When setting up your unit, go to Factory, then choose RZC for CAN box type, then choose Honda, car model Civic and CAN box choose 2016-2021 High or Low. High if amplified or low if non-amplified. Then go to vehicle settings and make that the turn right enter camera has a green check mark on it!

Those white clips are called Grille clips in case they do get broken. EBay carries lots of these for cheap.

Do you experience any buzzing/static sound with this unit when no audio is played? Some users reported it and seems its due to two amplifiers.

Only a very faint hum when the unit powers up, nothing that is too loud at all, no buzzing sound or anything like that!

I only hear it with the volume off. It doesn't increase when the volume is turned up. My unit only has a low level hum with volume off, no buzzing sounds, hope this helps!🏁👍

I just bought joying radio does not look like that with fish floating it actually looks way different and the settings are way different, looks the same but different in its functions, I have it with the C option which is the with amplifier and had everything connected problem I have is the radio does not work and the steering wheel selection for the turbo is down to 3 instead of the 6-7 options, everything else works the right lane assist works the reverse works but I still trying to fix the option for the turbo settings, I was able to view how the oil was I don’t have that option with the new joying radio if you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated

The radio needs the bypass harness installed to work properly! You will diffently lose some functions on your steering wheel, like the oil change, tire pressure, etc. I still have my turbo guage, I am about to release a video on this very subject next week! I can show some settings that might help, concerning the proper initial radio settings, but I can't message you until late tonight. So I will leave you another comment late tonight, hope this helps! 👍🏁

Another way to reset the maintenance stuff is using the steering wheel. Go to the little wrench and just hold the ok button on the left side of the steering wheel until it pops up with the reset.

Hi I just installed this unit on my 2017 SI 4 door. Did you lose some of your speedometer customization? I lost a number of things like the G-meter, brake/acceleration gauge etc. The only selections left are fuel economy and lap timer. Joying did not have a resolution.

The reason why you couldn’t find the antenna model is not because Sal’s car is a touring model is because Sal is a four-door, and yours is a coupe. You need to find somebody who has located it on a coup, and yours should be in the same place.

It does improve the overall sound quality but you will need a better Amp for real bass output. I'm looking into that very soon!!

My question is with the splitter rca to have all 4 ... 2 front and 2 rear can i adjust the rear speakers in the eq to adjust the rear speakers or doesnt work??? I know only the front speakers i can adjust but not rear. I need to know please to see if it makes sense to buy the rca splitter

I was not able to adjust the rear speakers with the EQ, so skip the splitter and run your RCA cables into the rear speakers outlet on the head unit. I think it sounds a little better with that configuration, but it might just be my imagination!

I installed the new model with Android 12 in my civic with factory amplifier.. everything works great, but I have problems with the air conditioning control, it doesn't work properly, for example, I can't manually adjust the fan speed or switch the air conditioning on and off... I tried different can bus models but unfortunately it doesn't work:-(

The reason I ask is because I bought this so my all-around sound would sound better than the crappy factory head unit that literally put out terrible sound and loudness. Plus, I'm adding external subs and amp and I wanted the all-around sound to be loud enough with subs or balanced. The factory head unit would not be loud enough.

I hope you make a video explaining all settings in detail. My factory backup camera was working, then I played with the setting. I have no idea what I did and how to get it back. Also, the button on the turn signal for the lane watch camera doesn't turn it on. Do you know which setting that would be? Thank you in advance for making the detailed settings video.

​@Zspeed yeah I think we'd all appreciate an in depth look about the settings. Especially some info on the TPMS cause I've heard conflicting things. Another KZbinr says it works than another owner commented on his video that you need special tpms caps that joying sells to make it work. (1st time I heard that)

Do you hear any noises when volume level is 0? I have a problem with that. Sound quality is much more better in compare to origin but not clear. Maybe someone solve this problem already?

I don't have any noises with volume at 0, not sure what's causing the feedback. Double check each connection!

Yes, there is a setting that mutes the sound when your in reverse. You have to turn the backup mute off to fix that!

Hey bud, but chance do you have any update on accessing the TPMS and other vehicle maintenance settings. Everyone i know with a 10th gen is interested in this headunit but the TPMS reset being accessible is the "make or break" factor. Any updates you have would be greatly appreciated! ....So i was just on their website. When purchasing besides with/ without factory amp option there's also Tpms-36$ Ob2-18$ Dvr-39$ Did you opt for these? I'm guessing if you did you got the tpms function. **edit So i reached out to Joying. If you bought directly from them you have the option to add on the TPMS reset/ with tire sensors for 36 bucks. If you bought yours from Amazon/ebay, Amazon has the tpms tire sensors for 39 bucks but it looks like you'll have to take the headunit back out to plug in the info relay unit.

Yes, you will need to purchase the TPMS sensors from Joying if you want to retain this function. I have them but have not installed them at this time!

Have you gone through the settings menu to factory, then car mode, then go to CAN box, choose RCZ, then Honda, then Civic and finally choose 2014.

@@Zspeed yeah. I reached out. They want me to take a picture of the back of the head unit but.... I already put it back and ah ... Ugh. I don't want to go through that unless Im indeed swapping it. My fingers hurt! Also, my stock head unit is now bricked. Continuously trying to acquire gps signal when it doesn't have gps.
