Wow! I didn't expect to see this comment. I am in the same situation. I was born with kidney problems and have had it my whole life. But about 4 years ago my kidneys completely failed. Now I am a single mom with stage 5 kidney failure that does dialysis three days a week, has surgeries every 4 months, and feels sick quite often. I am trying to become a better homemaker because I struggle in this area.

I too have always been fascinated by the “art and the science” of homemaking. I’ve been a homemaker for 44 years through different seasons of life. From SAHM, working outside the home, now an empty nester with at-home business. I still enjoy exploring other homemaker’s approaches and philosophies. Nice video! Your tips are spot-on. I’ve incorporated most of them over the years. Thank you 🌸

Just found your channel and subscribed. I love channels about homemaking as I am one. :) Have you ever read Edith Schaeffer's book Hidden Art? It's all about being a homemaker and the hidden art we create everyday as we decorate our home, bless our homes and care for those inside it, making little sanctuaries and churches of our families. Anway, you'd love the book. Many blessings!

So glad you're here! Yes, Edith's book was one of the first books I ever read on homemaking, over twenty years ago! She was so inspiring. Blessings to you as well!

Over the last few years of having home and decorating it, here's what I have learned: 1. Know what your style is. You said this. I have always been drawn to Asian and Victorian decor. Think about what speaks to you. 2. Know what you don't like. I like splashes of color. I don't like the wall that looks like a satanic blood ritual red. Or flamingo pink. With ADHD that is too much. 3. Seasonal items. There are four seasons of the year, so embrace them.

This is just a random question but how do you keep your facial skin so young and healthy looking? I eat healthy but I feel like my facial skin needs help. 💛

Wow, what a sweet compliment! And one I never imagined I would hear! I've always had skin issues, and even now that I'm in my 40's, I still have to use anti-acne cream and acne-fighting makeup (both Neutrogena brand). And I use Clinique gel lotion as a moisturizer (because it's the only thing that doesn't cause me to break out). I've tried so many natural things, and they all cause breakouts, so I just keep using what works, even though they're not natural. I do drink a lot of water and herb tea (instead of coffee), but it's probably just all the natural oil production I have going on! :)
