I have watched a few reviews on this pedal. I have a number of Fender amps. You are the first person I have seen make this pedal actually sound like a Fender. Good job! The only sound you're missing is my main amp - a fire-breathing Hot Rod Devile 212. 2:16 is pretty darned close, though.

I've used this pedal like a sansamp direct to recording interface and it sounds pretty good, especially with speaker emulation software, but to me it sounds best as a stompbox into a guitar amp. A good tube amp set to clean sounds heavenly with the Joyo pushing it into overdrive. I've got a 5watt all tube Kalamazoo model one 1X10 amp that sounds good on its own, but its el84 power tube gives it a very unfender tone. But drive it with the Joyo and my EH Holy Grail verb pedal and it gets very close to Blackface Deluxe Reverb territory. A very inspiring tone that makes it hard to put down the guitar. At $30 this is one hell of a sleeper pedal. Lots of fun.

Yes, great cleans! I often do recording late at night and there's nothing that angers the family more then me firing up the Bassman (or even my Princeton), to lay down a few tracks. This pedal has been invaluable for recording.

Same here, even my 5 watt tube amp is to loud so I use this pedal as a pre amp it works a treat, really good fender tones are all in this unit. I'm hoping to just finish it off with some reverb and a klon clone.

Hey! Great video! I was wondering if the joyo works well into the fx return, completely bypassing the amps pre section... I'm asking you this because since there's no way to switch on and off the cab simulation, it could sound weird with the real amp's speaker.

It's a sleeper, overlooked because it's cheap to buy. I use one for all guitar parts on my channel backing tracks. DI into an audio interface, any effects applied in the DAW. Perfect for recording. Tip* to my ears, it sounds better running off a 9v battery... 😊
@anotherheadlessdemo2 ай бұрын
I've been having background hum or buzzing problems with mine when I use it to record (sadly). I bought a second one, same thing. I've tried just using a 9v and still the same. My other Joyo pedals are fine. Go figure.

@@anotherheadlessdemohmm, that doesn't seem right. Not had any buzzing/hum (unless I've set gain high - but that's the same with an amp anyway). The fact you've had the same issue with 2 units might suggest the problem could also be elsewhere?

Quick question. Right now i own SS Fender Eighty Five Amp with amazing clean sound.But the overdrive chanel in this amp isounds bad for me. I am looking for overdrive pedal wich will help me get the valve/tube overdrive with my SS Amp. Is this Joyo American a right choise for me ?
@anotherheadlessdemo7 жыл бұрын
I use the Joyo with SS amps all the time. Does it make them sound like my Princeton Reverb or vintage Vibrolux? Probably not. It won't give you the sag or compression associated with tube amps. It will probably sound better than the OD in your amp though.
@KukoFingerstyle7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I dont own Tube amp and i tried to get nice overdrive sound by using Boss SD1 but it's not working well with my amp. This is why i want to buy some warm, bluesy overdrive wich will work well with SS.

SS amps can be tough with OD pedals. If you check out some of my other videos where I'm playing a tune, you can hear the Joyo. If I want more OD, I use an EH Crayon. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIfaZYFrhrqCiac

@@anotherheadlessdemo I may surprise you very much, but all conceivable and predictable combinations and transitions of lamp operating modes, I easily get on the AMT SS11B pedals. The author-designer of this development has invested many years of understanding of the formation of "that very sound" in a generalized form in this development. Its capabilities are naturally wider than that of any separate amplifier, and it does not emulate the color of sound, but forms real processes "on a scientific stand". This Siberian scientist designer made a technical breakthrough and closed this page even for his further research. By manipulating the operating modes of the lamps, you can achieve all the dynamic characteristics of not only the one you mentioned, but also all further developments in the field of "tube sound". This is not an advertisement, it is the result of many years of observation of his searches.
