Just ordered one as I tried the Behringer BDDI and my expectations of a £25 pedal were met. £75 for this one but and I'm a little more convinced.

Thanks for the video. Easily the best video I've seen regarding this pedal. Have you used the Behringer bdi21? If so, hiw does it compare to this?

I have not used the Behringer, but from what I have heard online I wouldn't like the tone much.

After 20 years or so my Sansamp is finally dying. I'm considering one of these or the Monomyth. I'm leaning more towards the Monomyth because it seems to be more versatile. Stories of QC issues have made me hesitate.

@@ElricX the replacement Tidal Wave they sent me is perfect. I'm using it over my V T Bass DI. I just prefer the sound. If you have a bad unit they will replace it.

Looks like a nice cheaper alternative to a SansAmp. I sold my SansAmp and went with a Darkglass but I don’t like the fact that the Darkglass doesn’t run on a battery.

Great demo.....I have a DG B7K Mk.1 that I'm partial to for that type of thing when needed.....like you said it's not a DG but it's pretty good....the Presence sounds a little brittle but I know first hand how things don't necessarily translate to KZbin the way I want them to lol

I have been using the Sonicake Boom Avenue for a while and the Sansamp preamp on it is really good but it takes up a rude amount of space considering I don't use any of the other effects. I am thinking I might go for this.

@@WilDBeestMF the tidal wave is pretty similar to the boom Ave but has more flexibility. You also have the option of the Sonic cake B Factory

@@klaymeister I'm happy with how the Boom Avenue sounds and functions but it's the fly rig take, so it's bar shaped and I really want a more traditional shape haha. I did see the other Sonicake but I like the look of the Tidal Waves more tbh.

Hi Bro, between Joyo Tidal Wave AND Joyo Monomyth, which Is better if you can get each one for the same price?

I like the sound of the Tidal Wave more. The benefit of the monomyth is having a switch for the clean sound with eq and a different switch for distortion.

@@klaymeister if it's true, however i have the Joyo Double Thruster, could i use the Tidal Wave with a minimum Drive knobs and activate the distortion with the Double Thruster? I think the Tidal Wave has a verter sound as do you.

The blend affects the dry/wet ratio for the drive. It literally does nothing to the mids as far as scooping. It's not a contour effect lol.

That's what it does on a regular drive pedal. Check out this verbiage from the pedal this is copied from. The amp emulation includes a EQ curve. Like most tube amps do (scooped mids) Blend knob - controls the ratio of SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry and your direct instrument signal

Wrong. It doesn't blend the drive. It blends the clean bass signal with the overall effect of the pedal
