I think one thing that was not mentioned was the distance between the buttons and the lever. Hori makes this distinction with their "Kai" models whereby the distance between buttons and lever is longer (or wider) than the default vewlix or noir layout and results in a more comfortable resting positioning of the hands. Other manufacturers have adopted this spacing while others have stuck with the original closer positioning.

Between Noir and Vewlix layouts: look at your fingers to see if your ring finger is longer than your index finger or vice versa (varies from person to person). My ring finger is longer (almost as long as my middle finger) so a Vewlix layout works better. If you find your index is longer than your ring finger, Noir might be a better fit. It is a personal choice though, but looking at your hands can give you an idea which one is right for you.

The Sanwa I would say is definitely the lever that gets the least complaints. I like Sanwa but I found it a bit more loose than the Hori Hyabusa so I've switched. However, Sanwa's are definitely more compatible with most sticks. Almost every stick can fit a Sanwa whole a Hyabusa may NOT fit in your stick. Havent tried Seimitsu yet but those are also hard to fit on most standard sticks. All personal preference, as you highlighted

This is rather enlightening. I generally hop into the midrange since I like having a quality, lasting product, and I don't think this'll change unless I get a mixbox (which technically falls into the lower part of premium).

@@JoystickNY If I am to be honest, I just straight up misspelled hitbox. Oops. I already have a keyboard that I play with right now and it's surprisingly good as long as you don't do 360 or 720 motions, but in such case it's extremely awkward and is largely the reason I'm shooting for another input method. My advice to those of you who want to buy arcade sticks for your fighting games: avoid the non-solder free arcade sticks and stick with the solder-free ones. I think that the best option, specially for newcomers on this play style is to buy an entry level fightstick with a good structure and easy to mod and then if you like it and feel comfortable, just start changing pieces to better ones like the lever for example. The con here is that in general a fightstick is expensive, that's why i think that, so I would only recommend mid range if you have more than enough money and want to be a competitive player (keeping in mind changing pieces in the future).

Yolo Milf thats actually a nice budget for a stick, but my recommendation is to save the money on a ps5 stick or ps5. Because i dont want you to spend 250, and it wont work with the ps5, or maybe go for something cheaper like 100$. Becuz 250, u r getting the same part, the extra cost goes to the branding, design and extra features, razer had sales for 100-120 recently, i feel like it will come back soon, i will keep you guys posted. Let me know what u think. Btw i got gbfv too. 🙏❤️

Yolo Milf i don recommend getting the crystal, because its 140$ for basic parts, if you just bought it, see if you can cancel it. Is not a good stick for that price, for 140, u can get a madcatz tes or hori rap4 with premium parts

Hey love the channel. I have been playing with a madcatz alpha it died on me going to upgrade what do you think a used rapn or a new tes+ same price Or 25 dollars more a used te2+
@JoystickNY4 жыл бұрын
Nelson Arroyo what happen to the alpha? If its just the buttons, or lever, you can replace it, if its the mainboard, then dont fix it. Rap N and tes+ are equal. Choose which ever design you like But keep in mind, rap n is hayabusa parts and noir layout, while tes+ is sanwa parts and viewlix layout. Sanwa is more popular but its a personal preference. I use a mix of sanwa lever and hayabusa buttons
@MsSureshotzero4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply as my alpha the board went out. My main concern is used vs new what are your feelings on that?
@JoystickNY4 жыл бұрын
Nelson Arroyo buy used only if the price is super cheap. And if is just slightly cheaper, is pointless. And expect buttons and levers to be worn out. Becuz swapping the lever and all buttons will cost you another 40$. Example, if the new stick is retail for 150. You don want to buy it at 100 used. Becuz after you replace the buttons and lever, it becomes 140$. You coulda paid 10$ more to get a new one and save all that trouble. If the used stick was 75$, then its worth taking the risk and going thru the hassle, 75+40 will be 115$, now thats more worth it. Basically anytime you have to replace the part, and the price is close to the retail price. Is not worth the trouble, if you know what i mean

With fighting games, ESPECIALLY tekken, practice is key. Also it depends if you have a ball or bat top for your Joystick. I have a ball top for my Sanwa, and there's definitely a certain way to hold it and use it to maximize your movement for tekken. I'm mainly a pad player, and I still have to practice backdash on pad constantly. Honestly choosing tekken as your main game is like 50% of your problem, you have 4 times as many inputs movement wise than say DragonBall fighterz or street fighter. Tekken requires you to memorize punishes and combos like other fighting games but movement is almost another whole games worth of knowledge, because you have to utilize it sometimes to get out of pressure.

I think cpy said it really good, is just like playing a musical instrument, it going to take sometime, especially in the beginning stage, once you get comfortable with the stick; every thing becomes easier; also; you are learning the game and learning the stick at the same time. So it double the difficulty compared to some1 who is just learning a new game, your kinda learning how to play the piano, and also learning how to read notes, where as some 1 already knows how to play the paino, its just another song to learn, if that makes any sense, with the grip, is going to natural, your hand and fingers will adapt natural. Its all part of the experience, learning something new and exciting is what this is all about, if its too easy, it wont be that fun.

Depends on how serious u r, if u play fighting game once in a while, get a cheaper one, if fighting game is your main genre and u plan to play other titles, get a nicer one 😊

Can you recommend me any mid range arcade stick for PS4? I play tekken 7 mostly.

Which one do you recommend? Mayflash 300 or qanba drone? Or should I spent some more to get mayflash 300 elite? But I only use PS4 console!!

@@JoystickNY And what about mayflash 300 elite? This one is 50$ more than qanba drone here in canada? Is mayflash 300 elite worth that extra money?
@JoystickNY3 жыл бұрын
If u play ps4 mainly, i dont recommend the mayflashs becuase u need to plug an extra cable to the ps4 controller, unless u play on many different consoles, if not, i would get the drone

If i buy hori fighting edge version or razwr phantera, do you have any information about can it use for ps or xbox new generation? And did they use Sanwa button?
@JoystickNY4 жыл бұрын
Miliarto Takumi they are equally good sticks in terms of effectiveness, i would say pick which ever design you like better. Keep in mind, edge has hayabusa parts and panthera has sanwa parts, there is no information compatibility with new ps5 and xbox yet, i would predict mostly No, a ps5 stick will usually work with ps4. But not the other way around. Because companies want everyone to buy a new stick, if you know what i mean. If you are not in a rush, wait for the new consoles and then decide. Let me know if you have more questions 🙏❤️👍

Is the normal te2 premium or mid range???
@JoystickNY Жыл бұрын
I believe at the time they r consider premium, now with so many new sticks, i think it going towards midrange. But they r still very solid, btw mid and premium
