I recently got this stick before Christmas. On changing the lever, The Hayabusa will not fit easily due to plastic blocking it near the screws, If you change the plate horizontally you can fit it though you will only be able to fasten 3 screws instead of 4. Sanwa and Seimetsu levers all fit fine. You can get a Korean lever like the Myoungshin Fanta to mount IF you use the Golden Plate and Golden Collar from Arcade Stick Indonesia, I currently have that set up (Great for Tekken 7).
@JoystickNY5 жыл бұрын

Just found your channel, very good videos. I just wanted to point out, that clear ring is also used in the mad catz TE2(+), the reason behind it is that once you put the plexiglass on, the buttons would be too low if they were plugged flush on the panel, so this is basically a way to avoid griding down the plexiglass everytime you change your buttons, while keeping the right height. I was too lazy to go through all the comments to see if anybody already talked about it so sorry if this is old news. Thanks for your dedication !

So i just got this stick and its my first fight stick and the only 2 gripes I have (mind you these could just he newbie issues) is that the joystick doesnt seem to respond well to double movements for dashing and id like to adjust it to be a smaller range of movement to make tighter executions easier. Also I'm a bigger guy with big hands and (again it could he a newbie thing) the buttons are so sensitive that I press some of the buttons by accident but again that could be an execution issue. I got this particular fight stick for $125 so i wont complain. Again take my mini rant with a grain of salt as it could be an execution error on my behalf but anyone new to fight sticks could have this same issue.

Quick question if you can't answer the question it's okay, Where Arcade cabinets aka Arcade sticks or Hitobox made before the paddle controllers aka Pad controllers?
@JoystickNY4 жыл бұрын
ii Ahahy Bilaash i think controllers were first, and then variations of arcade sticks came after
@iiahahybilaash94344 жыл бұрын
@@JoystickNY Okay was wondering because a lot of ppl say Arcade cabinets aka Arcade sticks are cheating when I feel like arcade sticks or cabinets were intended for fightings games to be played on ever since they were established, and I thought since fightings been around for a very long time and so were arcade cabinets so I assumed they were made before paddle-like or pad controllers because back in the day the only to play games were in the arcade station I believe right?
@JoystickNY4 жыл бұрын
ii Ahahy Bilaash thats a great question, i am gonna to look it up later tonight, very interesting, but i do remember seeing very old consoles with pads. So i assume pads were earlier, but i am gonna check it tonight lol. Also, i probably wouldn’t consider it cheating, they both do the same thing, there is no advantage in either one. Though the hitbox may get some criticism because it offers some advantage over normal arcade sticks and pads

Very in depth review, nice work. I bought the Evo on release and at first I thought it was a great upgrade, but now a few years later I have gone back to my old stick. The chassis does not fit my Seimitsu LS-40, the plate fits fine, but the unit is too large to sit inside. The plastic rings that are required to lift the buttons and keep them in place are very easy to break and lose when switching around, and the solution you gave of getting screw in buttons is what I had to do... but the 'nut' that holds the screw in place does not fit inside cleanly and I had to grind down the plastic. I have personally had issues with it not working on PS4 intermittently, and also the audio has had issues. Overall I would say that if you want a good stick out of the box, it is OK, but not if you plan on changing anything aside from artwork.

My girlfriend got me this while it was on sale on Razer's website for around $140 USD including tax. This is my first stick with a Sanwa lever and I do not like how loose it is, however, I am replacing it with a Seimetsu lever either the LS-32 or LS-56. I do not know how the LS-56 feels, if anyone knows how the LS-56 performs over the LS-32 please let me know, I like how tight the LS-32 is. It is a good stick I just wish the top plate was made of plexiglass, it is like a softer plastic. The buttons are fine, it was a weird decision to make the side buttons Sanwa, though. I would recommend this stick when it is on sale.

What people should focus on is that the EVO is not a downgrade/upgrade to the OG Panthera. Its a bit misleading since it has a 200$ price tag but is lacking in some quality of life stuff. Being able to easily access the innards is always a plus and second best is getting it in through one reliable way (bottom panel screws like in Obsidian, etc.) Needing to go through like how the EVO does it is a bit of an inconvenience. Granted the price premium goes up with mechanical buttons but even then experienced stick users go to gamerfinger or even Crown 202 for those types. The headphone jack is nice too but I think that option is more situational than a real quality upgrade. If it was regularly priced around similar sticks like the Qanba Crystal or HORI Rap N, it would definitely be a more tremendous value.

hey i was wondering, how do you generally clean the plexiglass on a arcade stick? After using mine for a couple hours, i notice fingerprint build and was wondering the best way to clean this. Amazon sells this cleaner (called Brillianize Plastic and Glass Cleaning Kit with Microsuede Polishing Cloth) and I was wondering if this would work on on fightstick. For now I just been using a little warm water on the microfiber cloth that I use to clean my glasses. I just want to make sure I dont ruin the plexi or the art. Also worth noting that i have the hori soul calibur edition stick which is basically a rap n. Also great video as always!

Have you ever completely disassembled the sanwa buttons? It’s very interesting design inside how it works with a spring and a BB. I have had to take mine completely apart and clean due to spills. Maybe a video idea how to disassemble the buttons and clean and reassemble. Yes you can just buy new ones but maybe you don’t want to wait to get new ones and it’s no so much trouble to disassemble with fine knife edge the black internal button mechanic. Over time I have noticed also the BB and metal posts have gotten corrupted and can be clean with toothbrush and a green scrubby on the BB. If you disassemble take care not to loose small bits. Suggest white cloth and maybe do on floor so parts can fall and bounce away.

This was probably asked to you a million times, but if I'm starting out on fightsticks and have no preference whatsoever which stick should I go with, Evo or original Panthera? All sticks are on sale on the Razer Store, but the only one that isn't out of stock is the Panthera Marvel vs Capcom Infinite Edition. I've been more on the Evo version side (just feel like its more noob friendly I guess), but I don't think it will be on stock before the sales end.

Agressive Pigeon the original panthera is the better stick, becuz you get easy access to internal, the evo has a lot of screws to get in, but not a big deal, because how often do we actually go in there anyway. I think the clear rings on the buttons make it more level with the plexi, because most plexi is placed under the button while this plexi is placed around the buttons. They must have designed it like that to make it faster to change out the art without needing to remove the buttons first. Even if the buttons did fit snug without the ring, your fingertips might scrape against the plexi if the buttons sit too low but idk, might be worth testing with screw-ins.
@JoystickNY4 жыл бұрын
Thats actually a really good point, i think if they were thinking it like that, i think they shouldnt have designed that way, becuz people swap buttons way more often than artwork. And now they created a extra problem that future buttons require an additional ring inorder to fit the EVO. I would rather take an extra step to change the artwork and have 1 less problem to worry about. If you know what i mean.
