Splitting this into multiple steps based on difficulty helps immensely. I would pay for a fighting game guide that taught me what mechanics to focus on first and how to slowly build up my skills as opposed to simply being told the optimal way to use the buttons. @@JoystickNY I hear all the time that hitboxes are amazing for charge charaters. Already hyped to see your thoughts in a video!
@JoystickNY
@JoystickNY 4 жыл бұрын
ArtySh00t yes, it does offer some advantage, because when your thumb is pressing DOWN. Your 2nd finger can press UP to make the flash kick. BUT, your thumb doesnt have to let go of DOWN, meaning you are always charging. Where as, on a stick 🕹, if you move the stick up, you are out of the charging state. Thats why hitbox can offer some cheesy movements if you know how to take advantage of it.

Ralph TY thats a good suggestion 👍, i will add that to my list of videos to make. I play a lot of different games, i dont really try to grind on ranks in any specific game. Ralph TY i understand what you mean tho, 🙏 for me, if i spend too much time on ranks, at the end of the day, is just a number. But i will loose the time making video, testing things, playing other games. I think i get less views is mainly because fighting game and arcade stick is a very small community and niche, i dont really follow whats new and try to talk about it, or make a video asap try to react on it. Where as i just stay in my lane and make videos on what i think is helpful in general. When a new game comes out, when a new product comes out, when a Big news come out, most of gamers jumps on it fast and makes a video about it, me making those video is not really help much, because there is already enough people if you know what i mean, i ll just do my own stuff for now. Maybe one day when i get a big following, and they are interested in my thoughts of those news, then i may start doing those videos.

@cooldude6269

Very late but yes, same thing applies. Charging during combos is also a thing. The most basic example is that as May, you can do 2 or 3 P’s into horizontal Dolphin. Obviously it gets way more complicated than that but to get the principle down just try that out and then take it into an actual match

Thank you I've been wondering for the longest how they do a sonic boom without moving backwards and you taught me it. I've literally been trying to figure that out for the longest. They'll hit a LP and then they'll charge it into a sonic boom. I literally was struggling and scratching my head and telling myself this can't be possible how on Earth are they doing this. But you cleared it up for me thanks alot I'm a beginner at SF so it helps me a lot. I'm using a PS4 controller so it's tough journey.

I do have a question about which stick would be suitable. I was looking at 2 different sticks the Mayflash f500 and the Hori Real Arcade Pro 4 Kai. Which would you recommend between the two? Thanks in advance love your vids
@JoystickNY
@JoystickNY 4 жыл бұрын
Aquamedic first i want you to know we are comparing 2 different price, and level sticks though, its $75 entry level stick vs a $150 mid level. In this case, I would recommend the hori rap 4 kai. The hori has premium hayabusa parts while the mayflash has unbranded parts. The hori stick is the stick i use the most, because i love hayabusa parts. But most people love sanwa parts 🙏❤️ great questions btw

Great video. As a Under Night player, I just want to explain that charge characters are different in that game. (I will use number notation because that’s what I know). 1. Because it has [2]8, [8]2, [4]6 and [6]4, the charged motion does not have to be pure, but the release motion does have to be pure. For example, [2]8 can be [1]8, [2]8, or [3]8. 2. Buffering works differently. You can’t begin charging during active frames or recovery frames. You have to start charging in neutral or before you start the other move. For example, if you want to do 2B->[4]6B, you can do 1B->6B. But you can’t do 2B->4-6B with no additional charge. Guilty gear is mostly the same as SFV.
@CloudBuilderMetba
@CloudBuilderMetba 4 жыл бұрын
If you don’t know number notation think of it like a keypad: 789 456 123 Where 5 is neutral, 9 is forward jump, and 1 is down back for example.
