I think your character is great but that voice changer is unbelievably difficult to follow there is way too much distortion and it ruins the whole presentation which came so close to perfect. Maybe consider tuning it down a bit so you can still be heard very clearly.

I had a x56 and I highly recommend the Gladiator. I own now 2 Gunfighters Mk 2. The Gladiator has the same mecanism as the Gunfighter but some parts that were metal in the GF are replaced by plastic ones in the Gladiator. So you still got the precision of the MARS sensor which is a huge improvment over the x56. The X56 has problems with dead zones and need to be recalibrated. The quality/price is better with the VKB. The only advantage for the X56 is its throttle which is OK for its price. But if you mainly do space sims as me, it's better to have a second stick than a throttle. Another thing I like about VKB is that they also sell upgrades to newer versions when it's possible, for exemple upgrade from Gunfighter Mk2 to Mk3.

@@zapman6528 I had small DZ on the x56 but on this type of resistive joystick (like the T10k), they tend to grow over time. It is more a technology problem than a factoring problem.

Forgive my ignorance but what is a clutch with relation to joysticks/gimbals. I have ap feeling its something mostly self-explanatory, but I cant say Ive ever heard of a clutch on joystick? Thanks for helping me understand!

​@@Whoadayson So you have two forces against your hand when it comes to joystick gimbals, resistance and damping. Resistance can be seen and felt when you feel the resistance of the stick against your hand, and the stick returns to center. Damping can be felt, and it really improves the feel of the stick, but it can be seen by taking a stick and pushing it to max deflection and let it return to center. Sticks with smooth movement but not damping will flop a little in the middle. Sticks that have good damping will smoothly return to center. I Demonstrate this on my channel in my VKB Gladiator NXT review, and my VKB Gunfighter MK.III review.

@@FalconsLedge Hi Falcon, i m happy with my nxt vkb, i think upgrade one day. i think MK3 base or virpil base warbrd( cause alpha constellation seems very good stick) What the difference between this 2 bases, its a little same thing, or huge difference quality? the problem for me with vkb is the stick, after scg, upgrade is mcg with twist and its very expensive and very big stick( i play 70% time space sim an 30% aircraft sim like dcs etc...

@@Olivier.Colonna-Comedien if you are looking at the WarBrd and not the new t50-CM3 base, the gunfighter mk III is a better base. The quality is more or less the same. The big difference is features. The Gunfighter had dampers, and to me that's a big deal. Dampers improve accuracy and feel. The T50 cm3 is an equal, or maybe even a better base than the Gunfighter, but it's also not expensive. I like the scg grip, I'm sure I would like the alpha too, but the Virpil solution is quite a bit more expensive. Maybe that may change if you are in Europe through shipping costs? In the US, imo the scg/gunfighter is a better bang for your buck. Don't let that seem like an insult to the Virpil gear, because it's not. You won't be unhappy going either direction.

So i live in europe, yes it was warbird base in my mind, cause less expensive than VKB MK3.( 315 euros with shipping cost) and Warbird 269 with sim cam extension.( with taxe and shipping cost). . After its the stick, ALpha or alpha prime seems great for space sim and aircraft too. Better quality that SCG ( who are nice too). 215 euros for alpha and 299 for metal version and best hat chinese. Do you know if MCG ultimate are good too with space sim and his dimension ( always twist option with stick for me).I m afraid is very very lonnng stick, i don t find dimension on vkb plateform. But If i buy in first time only Base MK3, it was a big improvement for SCG ( and more easy for budget)? total vkb MK3 with MCG ultimate 660 euros with shipping cost. Virpil warbird with Alpha and sim cam 449 euros with shipping cost, and 545 euros for alpha prime (metal stick). Sorry for my very bad langage, i m not english ^^. ( what dumper?) I love the soft come back to the center with NXT, in the center its stop a little.

The fact that I can't get a VKB from a major retailer in a timely manner (amazon, best buy, etc) has proved to be a dealbreaker for me. They really should consider branching out with their distribution, even if they need to bump the price a bit.

Of the bunch, its the one I would recommend the most for price to performance. Again I recommend the Premium edition for the added front trigger.

The VKB Gladiator are discontinued models ... in the future there will only be the NXT's and they are far better than the old ones with the NXT you get a complete "tuning set", even with the standard stick you can change the spring strength

So I use a X52 and I have to say because of how I play flight sims (mostly dcs) I yank on the x52 joystick a lot and the suctioning cups just don’t hold on well and the because the base isn’t weighted it tends to follow momentum and slam into your throttle (my set up is a side stick and throttle) so unless you wanna drill holes into your desk to play flight sims be my guest but I also play other games other then flight times so it gets annoying.

Info time = I have two vkb gladiators premiums and I just bought the t rudder. I plugged it up. And started having issues. The t rudder replaced my joysticks. I disconnected the t rudder, and I'm back using my two vkb joysticks. Did you have to down load software, to get the t rudders to work properly ? I want to use my t rudder for rt/ peddle = throttle forward. Lt/ peddle = throttle backwards. Any info you can give will be appreciated. Thanks

I'll be honest its been a while. As far as software. I believe it was the zbootloader, TLink, wizzo, and the VKB config. all 3 are plugged into their own USB port? I do know I missed that in game I had to scroll down in the settings for a HOTAS. So for me it shows as Keyboard, Mouse, Joy, Joy 1, and Joy 2. For me Joy 1 is the Rudder. so make sure you scroll down in any options when selecting between Joy and Joy (1), there should be a Joy (2). Then set the appropriate input to Movement Forward/Backward.

I made a folder, I took screenshots of what I have for my install and included my HOSAS config, NOTE! I have a NXT, TRudder and a Gunfighter, so my profile WILL be different due to the gunfighter. I would imagine just changing the name would handle that from gunfighter to whatever the NXT is as the stick itself is the same. Thank you for the video. (Subscribed) Not sure if I liked your presentation at first, but good info anyway. I discovered the VKB Gladiator this week and immediately ordered the premium model to use with DCS. Shipping time about 2 weeks. Wish they had a combat style throttle. Got a Thrustmaster TWCS to use with it for now. Can't think of any other stick that comes close for this price.

I've used both high end vkb and virpils (returned the vkb's, got virpils after). Imo virpil is overall vastly superior to vkb. Both are of good quality in build that's not what I mean. Virpils are just better designed. The only thing I will give to vkb is they are more compact and have the clutches... however if you are playing a space game those are probably not very useful to you. They were designed to mimic helicopter cyclic control sticks. The twist is inferior on the vkb's they lift up and take too much effort to twist on a regular basis. Unless you want no center detent the cams that have a center have way too harsh a center... i could go on. Virpils are not prefect either but imo much smoother and have a more thoughtful

For ME the x56 was so many buttons. If you feel you only need a few more. May I suggest trying “Voice Attack”? You can get voice commands and can add some fun with audio replies designed for Star Citizen. Example: You say “Landing gear.” And it presses the hot key needed to retract gears. Power to shields Flight ready Power to engines 3rd person view Spoil quantum Engage quantum Etc. That helped offset many commands for the x52 and I didn’t need to remember more buttons as well as keep hands on primary controls.
