The problem with the many worlds interpretation is that it doesn’t really solve anything. Copenhagen interpretation has the wave function ‘collapse’ when a ‘measurement’ is made, failing to explain what a measurement is. Many worlds doesn’t answer the question of measurement either. Quantum mechanics lack ‘irreversible’ processes so switching from the Copenhagen interpretation where measurement is the magic handwave to splitting of universes when irreversible processes act is just replacing a small cop out with a huge one.

He's not saying that there is backwards time travel of information, he's saying that the universe has already been precomputed. The photons don't actually split and travel backwards to fool the detectors, you are just on the current frame of the timeline where it looks like that happened. There are actually no interactions taking place and nothing in the multiverse is moving except our perception of which version of the universe we are in inside the multiverse.

An excellent video which neatly explains Deutsch's explanation of the existence of many universes. The discussion is carefully reduced to layman's terms in a straight forward, but not condescending manner. Deutsch's approach is a semi-geometric explanation which starts with the initial premise that there exist a multitude of dimensions, although he does not state so explicitly. From that initial condition it seems logical to visualize phantom photons and other ghost particles. It is compelling and logical in my opinion. Everett, Wheeler, DeWitte, and Deutsch - all on the right track in my opinion.

What are supposed to be the shadow photons are actually the photon itself, actually that minimum of photons is where the photon passed by before establishing the easiest path, since everything tends to follow the easiest path that's the same force that affects gravity and the same force that will connect, join or separate particles according through the current overall state, inner/outer state, they posses, that being heat, momentum, etc. That must be why is impossible to determine the maximum since it will depend on the limit it encounters. For example in the frog experiment the farther it gets the longer it takes for the photon to calculate all possibles paths since ratio is also growing, and the photon will be in every single possible space the frog stay at any moment, move the frog a centimeter up if up exist, for the sake of the argument, and it will catch the same photon it would have catch at the other point making the other photon now appear as a shadow, but at quantum smallest measurement is the only way it can move. I mean, appear, be present check all other hidden forces that are present on every part of the fabric of reality and determine the easiest path to keep moving forward while at the same time moving forward. Making an analogy with time for us, is easy to experience a second, even a hundred of a second, but then comes a millisecond, etc. And then we can't experience consciously, we have to go abstract, that doesn't mean it didn't happened. But the path for the second to be visible for us is still there. It must come in hand with the same electron moving in the universe, that's why we never will encounter a different shaped one, since it's spread all over existence on an empty universe with infinite probabilities of possible places to be. It's my opinion that superposition has to do with access to information. To ask the question "Which slit did the photon go through?" without actually looking, or using some other means to detect which slit, is a nonsensical question. However, the universe is forced to answer nonsensical questions, due to the unavoidable physicality of the universe (i.e., the photon is definitely there even if we're not looking), and the way it does that is by giving us a seemingly random answer, or an answer the encompasses all possibilities of the given system. When you ask the universe "Which slit did the photon go through?", and you have no right to know which slit it went through because you weren't "looking", the universe replies with "All of them." Or, to put it another way, impossible things cannot happen, and one method the universe uses to guarantee this, is to not allow you to have access to information you wouldn't otherwise have access to.

The fascination with electrons began after reading a report about electrons moving faster than light. It seemed that electrons disappeared and reappeared at distances and time periods that meant that they had to move faster than the speed of light which physicists said was impossible. The most logical answer was that it was not the same electron. Vacuum energy appears and disappears all the time. It all had to come from somewhere. The obvious answer was that there was a soup of the building blocks of matter outside of spacetime. Unfortunately we have yet to figure out how to see it. Is it a wave or a particle? Quantum mechanics makes more sense to me if there are actually waves of particles outside of space time that pop in and out when we do a measurement . Outside of spacetime they could instantly be where they need to be, as there is no space between the pieces that fit so they can be there in no time. It was not a big jump to realize that these particles could be part of the missing dark matter. By definition waves move, flow and circulate. On our planet we have the water cycle, water runs downhill pools and accumulates. If it becomes warm enough it evaporates. It then joins other particles in the atmosphere and eventually falls back to earth restarting the whole process. The evidence suggests that like water, dark matter can phase transition. This phase transition would accelerate waves of particles that make up the fabric of spacetime and gravity would pull them back down, these would be the drivers of the motion in the dark matter cycle. I believe that the entirety of the universe formed as a pocket of spacetime all at once similar to a burst of vacuum energy.

he leaves out one critical aspect: that consciousness (in this case humans) prefer certain things over others so, not all universes are equal, since, certain timelines will be "more ideal" than others it doesn't matter what people prefer on an individual scale, either, since a perfect timeline will exist for every person - but certain timelines will have a higher total value (i.e. certain timelines will satisfy a larger percentage of people) this means that free-will still exists, because consciousness chooses what it prefers based on available information, but time travel and retro-causality also exist therefore consciousness can communicate with itself in the past and future (likely via encoded light pulses, or "light intrusion"), in order to increase the available information from which to determine a preferred course of action as we are now, we are, likely, receiving information, but cannot yet detect/decode it, or information may be detectable and readable, but not relevant, or actionable, to our specific point in time

My best way to understand why quantum physics is the way it is is to understand that a segment of space time cannot know what another segment of space time is doing until some information (entanglement)went trough. Maybe the only way for the universe to stay consistent with itself and not create matter out of thin air because 2 version of itself are contradiction, is by having quantum physic. This doesn't explain how it take place, but it's logical. You cannot know of the state of some other part of space that is disconnected in time. The whole information is missing to you and cannot be obtained until it reach you, fundamentally.

We can't currently say no physical process is continuous. We have not been able to show gravity is neither emergent from other underlying properties of the universe nor quantized. If we are talking waves, this should mean we are opening up the possibility of phase shift which is determined at the source of the light. Is what you're calling the 'interference pattern' only a state of phase which is quantised through those slits only? It would be interesting to know how this experiment would play out using different light sources and if you can obtain all slit patterns with all kinds of light sources (For example, would something that glows produce alternating results between the slits?). all light moves at the same rate regardless of source or intensity. the experiment is done with rapid fire lazers basically to seperate photons so not just any light would work for the experiment. the bell version of the double split experiment is really interesting. its the one that setup different detectors and turned them on at different points to experiment with when the wave function actually collapses.

The experiment doesn't work with different light sources. One source must first be collimated by passing it through a single slit and then the experiment can begin. An un-collimated beam of photons is essential a multi-source.

They aren't, and they do. They can only be detected passing through one slit at a time, because when they are detected, they collapse to the point of interaction, regardless where they might have gone otherwise. If they are detected passing through a single slit, they _don't_ interfere with themselves. Also fullerenes haven't been shown to self-interfere as individual particles, as electrons and photons have. The use of many worlds to explain quantum behavior is the worst sort of violation of the Occam's Razor principle. It posits the existence of things which are not in evidence, and are by definition unproveable, when much simpler interpretations are perfectly plausible.

I cant find anything solid on the frog eyes perceiving light. How does this tie into the quantum aspect? And for that matter, how would you explain that in regards to the speed of light? What could possibly cause the blink of darkness? Distance is implied, but what creates the absence of light at any given time vs. the flashes of light? hello, basically it's just a mention, that by making correct enviroment (mostly absolute zero temperature) we find more and more complex particles to behave like a wave (or in that case with trilions of shadow twins) through double slid and other experiments. So the theory goes that there is no upper limit to how big the thing may be to behave as a wave until we prevent it from interraction with anything (so basically even the moon could be a wave in such enviroment). In fullerene there are same kind of detectors (instead of photon detectors) same logic etc.

Could the shadow particles play a role or actually be dark matter or part of Dark energy? Or what if those shadows are all the photons potential? Like say you line up every universe or every timeline that that photon exists in? And they are all kinda bound to the fact that it’s all the same Proton. This can be simply explained by considering nothing is a photon rather every thing is a wave. There are no photons when enough part of a wave reaches a detector that constitutes one quata of energy at that frequency of the given wave only then it is detected as energy only gets absorbed or transmitted in one quanta also known as one photon. So waves interact and cause the interference pattern and not photons. There is no photon only a quanta of energy to interact with.

I am convinced that light is made up of waves, not particles. The term "photon" is misleading imo. A photon is an occurance where the light waves, by intereaction with each other, impart their energy upon matter. It is impossible to make any measurement unless the "photon" occurs. There is no contradiction to say that photons=electromagnetic waves=quantum units=old school meaning of "particles". That's called duality of particles. Photons are both waves and quantised units, which behave like particles when observer/detector signal is present. Same goes with any "particles" like electrons, neutrons, protons, neutrino etc. Quantum objects are both indivisible quantum units and waves. This is nothing new for the last ~70 years. Well, the problem with what you think is that the term "photon" describes a massless excitiation in the electromagnetic field with a wave function that can encompass both light as a wave and light as a particle. The other problem with what you said is according to quantum mechanics, a photon can exist prior to its wave function collapsing. Therefore your definition of a photon requiring light waves to interact with each other cant be true. A photon is not the occurance of a measurement if a photon can have a wave function prior to collapsing, then it infact exists as both a wave and a particle. The measurement simply forces it to choose (this was proved by an experiment recently that won the Nobel prize). I would be pretty concerned if a science communicator actually said that because we can mathematically and experimentally prove it.

Not really. The reason we can't see things from the 10,000,000 km as said in the video is because our eyes require around 7 photons hitting the eye at the same time to register in our brains. A star produces many many many trillions of photons in every direction constantly, so even from those huge distances where the photons slowly diverge from each other, there are still enough for us to register them. Telescopes don't just take a 1 millisecond frame to capture the light from far away stars, they stay open for long periods of time to let the light accumulate, otherwise we wouldn't even know about anything outside our galaxy.

This seems to be a sort of proof for my proposed amended Invisible/Holographic Principle of the Multiverse! A duality within a duality. Light comes from invisible parallel universes and illuminates our holographic universe!
