Yes, agreed! The colour apps are great right out of the box, but also leaves room if you want to make a few changes. They feel really good in hand. Are you picking any up? Thanks Sir Skelly for your Part 1 review. My sets arrived this week to Australia & they ARE brilliant figures in hand. When I open ANY figures these days I hold my breath expecting a missing/broken/loose/incorrect parts etc, which I reckon is only 5% of the time. Luckily both my WH40K sets were OK this time but I DO FEEL for you with the missing Pauldron (I KNOW the feeling VERY well) - though CREDIT to you for staying calm which is a sign of a cool headed adult collector ! No worries, we both know the Seller will send you a replacement Pauldron. PS: make sure you send the seller lots of photos so they send the CORRECT Pauldron !

Cheers Judge, it was definitely disappointing at first, but yes, I knew i should be able to get things sorted. I am quite liking how I've got him looking now. Minor QC issues are expected, and Joytoy have had their fair share. I do think they need to step it up a notch, so that it doesn't become something they're known for on a global scale

They look good. Thanks for the review. Nice you got your hands on them. I had to order mine from GW. It will be around 6 months before I see mine. Honestly, I pre-order 1/6th scale figures all the time and 6 months isn't too bad compared to other pre-orders I have had.

To be honest, I agree with you. If they really want to be known on a global stage, they really can't afford to have QC issues like this. Two out of my eight figures had shoulder problems. That's 25% of my purchase with issues

Dam missing shoulder part, sorry fella, cross fingers seller & Joytoy will get it sorted. I'm waiting on a new ratchet arm piece for a Mech. Arrived snapped in pieces and whole arm unassembled, no damage to box so clearly something happened in factory. Agree with you, if they want to play in big league they have to improve QC (not go back to old days where we had to pins arms, heads etc). Worst case I think a silicone mold could be made to get a good copy. Irony years buying Warhammer 40K metal kits etc has given me great "pining skills" and "mold making skills" all transferable to collecting figures. Also, I have checked all my boxes (4), no issues thank beep. But one figure box did have an oddly angled right foot & leg was stiff, hit it with hairdryer, everything softened up and gently loosened all parts, all good. This box was the only one missing tape at one end. Has anyone else with quality issues noticed missing tape? Is it nothing or does it indicate items with issues getting past QC? Happy ending, bloody great figures in hand, great flexibility for something so bulky - do backpacks look a little small? I'm still keeping 2 x boxes Ultramarines, other 2 boxes either painting 4 figures the same or 2 figures the same. 2 figures I like the idea as I can cover more chapters and see if any particular paint scheme stands out. Could paint each figure giving me 8 chapters................so much choice..........fantastic isn't it. Thanks to GW & Joytoy for delivering this!

Cheers mate. Yeah got in touch, and they'll be sorting out a replacement with next batch. The good thing with Joytoy is that they always seem to improve what they do, so let's hope these QC issues will improve. I've not heard any issues relating to boxes with missing tape specifically, these things just happen. Joytoy are still a relatively new and small company. Despite these issues, I'm loving these figures. I've been so distracted with them! Should have another vid out soon. Sounds like you've got a great plan ahead. Are you on insta? You should put up your work

I sympathize with the missing shoulder pad. I paid mine less than the price on games-workshop due to the difference in currency. I received my infiltrators today, incursors soon. I was surprised that the box are in English (except for the cards), I remember when joytoy said chinese exclusive, they knew it was wrong but couldn't tell. it's strange that they installed these original hands, because you can't put a weapon in them. Extra hands need a little scratching on the inside before they can be put on (the only fault for me). When I installed other hands, I couldn't help but compare to hiya toys... A childhood dream comes true and the joytoy x warhammer collaboration has only just begun ... yeah joytoy, take my money!!!

Yeah, even with these QC issues I am thoroughly enjoying these figures. They are very fun and look awesome. Definitely a good start. I hope they solve the issues before the international release. Joytoy doesn't want to have a QC reputation around the world

Awesome first look at the figures and its nice to see you get them in hand! Definitely looking foward to getting the figures myself but unfortunately I had to preorder mine from GW so I will have to wait a while! That really sucks about the shoulder pad though and that would really give me a bad first impression, can you sort it out from the place you bought them from and get a replacement? How do you feel about them in comparison to Joytoys other recent offerings or even Acid rain figures? I must admit if I wasn't into 40k I wouldn't be getting them but its a dream figure licence for me so its kinda mandatory. Looking forward to the other videos!

Cheers Ollie. Although you guys have to wait, I was very pleased that GW had them for a very affordable price! Yes, I've got in touch with my contact and they're trying to sort something out. I hope joytoy get on these small QC issues for their international orders. The good thing is that they listen to feedback. These figures have been designed from the ground up, so are very different to normal joytoy or acid rain. The closest they come to are the Saluk sets from Joytoy, but those sets were designed more in line with Joytoy's attempt at realism. These figures are basically the miniatures blown up with super articulation, keeping the same proportions. Overall, they are very good quality figures and well worth the price of admission. I'll be posting up my follow up vid in the next day or so

@@SkellywagsTV Yes I agree the GW price was pretty good and I hope future releases will be available on the site for a similar price. I still don't own any Joytoy figures but have lots of Acid Rain so I am intrigued about how these figures are in person, the shoulder system reminds me of Figuarts or Robot spirits in a way. I also really like that these are basically miniatures scaled up as they look awesome, you could literally do a table top game with them! Anyway I look foward to seeing your other vids and I hope you get that shoulder pad problem sorted!

Great vid as always buddy. The only thing im not into about mine are that pull out shoulder. Good idea in theory but i think it doesn't work as well on actual fig. I wish they would have had the shoulder pads a more pliable plastic which attached at a circular ring in the butterfly, kinda like what some iron man marvel legends have, where the pad moves with the arm but loses no mobility. I will be turning one of my four into apocalypse. Just have to pick through them and see which one gives me any shady vibes.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think the pull out shoulder may be more of a problem later. It doesn't really add very much movement and I can see it getting loose over time. Yeah that shoulder pad method sounds better, like acid rain shoulders. These guys make a great Apocalypse base!
