The mascots act nice to you and treat you kindly when you change the enviroment to how it was in the past and treat you like a guest and even kinda like a kid they wanna entertain. But when its like how it is in present day they treat you with hostility and try to kill you. Nice gimmick but this feels like an almost completely DIFFERENT game than chapter 1.

Was watching a play through of this with no commentary. What was funny was there was a one moment where the person was struggling to get past this one part. I believe it was when you had to hide from the monstrous Tidey with the rotating puzzles. Though you couldn't hear them talking, you could definitely tell they were getting frustrated.

So to me it seems like whatever happened changed their personalities to an extreme besides just their appearance The star starts out as your typical anybody can dance and it's fun, though in the monstrous form he seems to become extremely competitive, egotistical and a bad sport seeing dancing as a form of Survival and hates losing to the point of accusing someone of cheating even if they played fairly. Tidely in his friendlier state seems very friendly, hospitable and loves to share his treasure, though in the present day he seems to be more aggressive, accusatory calling the player a thief for stealing their treasures. As for Lumina, she is introduced as friendly and wanting to play, though when reunited in the present she seems more like a beast or predator personality wise seeing people as her prey even like real cats wanting to "play" with them before taking them out.

I know this game feels like a completely different game then Joyville 1 but there are some noteworthy bits of information that tie it back to that game. 1.The brother starts the game from where the elevator crashed during the ending of the first game. 2.The bear and rabbit toys power to alter the environments seems to be one of the ''incredible things'' Ethan Jenkins mentioned the first bear was capable of during his video log during chapter 1. 3.Seni and Ronny from Joyville 1 return as minor antagonists.

It might be that you are transporting from the past and present. Think about it, when you switch to one world, it looks clean and normal, but when you switch to another, its all broken down and decrepit, which might mean that you are, in some way, time travelling

@ True but this chapter still pulled a lot from existing games. The dancing guy was based off of the sun/moon/eclipse character from Fnaf, the toy mechanic from poppy playtime, the goo puzzle from Garten of Banban. Then the overall theme of having to find a loved one that got lost to the factory/school whatever that’s been done to death by other games in the category. I’m not a fan of mascot horror games that build off existing ideas but do very little to make it their own. Now granted, the graphic update for this chapter was great, but this chapter did almost nothing in terms of lore progression. All we got was a bit more backstory of the characters sister and hints that the mascots were experiments-which again is another overdone concept.
