In my mind, this is one of Joywave's most underrated songs. I love it because it's such a stark departure from their usual style. I especially like how the raw emotion and feeling is so prominent. Not to mention the beautiful jazz beat, bass, and piano. Just an all-around gem.

The instrumentals Joywave puts at the end of their songs, such as this one and "Going to a Place", are some of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. To me, it says "uneasy acceptance", as ridiculous of a phrase as that is.

It's not as good or catchy as a lot of their other songs and doesn't have the energy a lot of them have.

@@kg1953 just because a song isn’t catchy does not make it a bad song. And I’d argue this song is catchy, with the piano tune they bring in and the chorus. It’s a great song over all and people need to start learning that chill songs are great too. It doesn’t all need to be upbeat and fast paced to be a “good” song

@@mychemicalromancewillpierc5241 the majority of songs joywave have are energetic of upbeat, so it makes sense that the main reason people listen to them would be to get that energy and catchiness. It's not necessarily bad by itself, but compared to other songs they've made it falls behind in these regards and is "worse" because it doesn't match the qualifications for a good JOYWAVE song.

one of the reasons is youtube music, as on youtube music, if someone doesn't like this style, the way they don't get suggested it, is by dislike, they haven't implemented a separate system sadly so a dislike could be a metal head getting suggested this, and not wanting this kind of music suggested.
