Like our gas guns, the JP-5™ offers a lot of control over your operating system. But for some, that means a lot of opportunities to go off the rails. In this video, we talk about what pushes your JP-5™ to the edge of reliability, and what can tip it over. A must-watch for any JP-5™ owner.

I bought a GMR-15 and put an optic on it. No need to tweek or change anything at all on the inside!

As a gamer, I'm very tempted to drop money on something like a JP5 or MPX, but when I hear about the issues that happen, I am kind of happy with my blowback since I tend to be pretty simple with my firearms. I will say this though, these are precision instruments that do a very particular thing very well, so in that aspect, I understand why they're worth it. Precision instruments.

Honestly contemplating this decision rn for a home defense/range gun JP5, GMR-15 9m, tr-9 or just do a 300 blackout rifle

@@UrbanDefenseSystems after a year and 10-15k shots with cheapest factory 124gr DMA reload in Poland - JP-5 one FTE which shooter were unable to solve without instrument. But neither spare parts had been changed, even though JP recomends to change extractor+spring over 5-10k rounds. There were couple FTE during the year without known reason, and around 5 FTE due to the magazine problem (non-cleaned glock magazine, and broken Fab Defense magazine). Same ammo has been known to not work good on Alien handgun due to different size of cases. I would say it's pretty reliable. Mpx on other hand - yes had more issues and less spare parts available to fix them.

@@v8v351 I believe you, by now a lot of people have come out and stated the JP5 has been incredibly reliable. Including Max Leograndis. I've already went balls deep on a blowback platform, but if it breaks down my next PCC will definitely be a JP5

Here is my issue with the JP5. I have shot several matches a JP5 and my biggest issue is my buddies are using hot ammo because my ammo that makes 128 PF on my TR9 runs without any issues straight out of the box. While with the JP5 if I want to run 128-130 PF, I need to fine tune the rifle more and spend more money. Yes when the JP5 is tuned right it feels so much better then my TR9 when to get to this point you would need to spend an extra 200-300 minimum because you will be changing out the locking piece, changing out the stock, changing out the trigger, etc. So when it's all said and done it can run you nearly $4,000 While this is no diss to the JP5, my TR-9 that came straight out of the box with a hiperfire trigger, carbon fiber handguard, short stroked buffer and it only cost $2500. Now does my TR-9 feel as soft as the JP5? Nope, but I didn't have to fine tune anything, and or spend more money to fine tune the JP5. The TR-9 just worked with my low power factor ammo.

So, what you're saying is that your ammo is the problem?... The trigger is great out of the box, and you don't need a carbon fiber handguard to be fast. If you want to run your ammo, just change the lock-piece.

@@JPRifles No offense but if you think your trigger out of the box is great then you clearly haven't shot a hiperfire eclipe or a SD3G trigger. Also, there a little thing called physics. Your big handguards so very heavy, nearly 2 to 3 pounds more, and a little thing called physics stated that the heavier object the more force it takes to move. So yes a handguard isn't going to make you shoot faster splits but it sure going to help your navigate better around a stage. Also to your last comment, if you want to run your ammo, just the lock-piece, yeah you are right until you but yet you are nickle and diming your customers and making them spend more money for each lock piece. You are charging $100 per lock which is insane. Like I said, my TR-9 out of the box will eat anything, and yes the hotter the ammo the more recoil I will feel, but at at least it will run without changing a single thing. While i can also go down to say 90 PF for steel challenge and not have to change a single thing also. So instead of trying to nickle and dime your customers, word of advice is, provide with a little free extra's like say and 70 and 90 locker for free, instead of charging them $100 for each locker.

@@danieljungshootsthanks dude, you just convinced me to stick with what I got. There's no way I want to spend that much money on a rifle and yet I still have to tinker with it to that extent.
