[JP] Nerofest: Boss Gilgamesh - Cu Solo (pre bug fix)

They fixed the bug hours after I recorded this. (The bug isn't on the NA server)
GIMMICKS! As soon as the fight with Gilgamesh starts he will drain all of your NP gauge [front abd backrow]
He will debuff your NP damage by 50% [Bugged in this video to be nearly 100%] He will also gain a attack buff every turn and his crit chance is nearly 100%
Key to soloing this is not recasting Cu's dodge immediately. It's good to use your HP to buy a turn or two. Later in the fight Gilgamesh will have so much attack he will 100% to 0% you in one attack so you won't be able to get value out of your HP. Also letting guts proc from the CE early allows you to cast Cu's guts skill while you have enough resources left live long enough for guts to come off cooldown again.
The best strategy for normal teams seems to be either stalling and buff stacking a unit equipped with the event CE. The Mystic Code "Chaldea Combat Uniform" is really helpful for this. You can buff the unit turn 1 and switch them to the backrow. When they return to the front you can buff them again. If you time it right you can even use the Mystic Code's attack buff twice on them.

Someone Else The insta kill part of fragarach only activates when her opponent uses his or her most powerful move. So Gil would have to pull out Ea then use Enuma Elish for it to insta kill. If those requirements aren't met it just turns into a powerful projectile B ranked Noble Phantasm

+Lance Vu That's correct, but a bit poorly explained in Hollow Ataraxia: "it responds to enemies trump cards, such as the noble phantasm of a servant"...does every noble phantasm count as valid, then? Or just the most powerful? If this second case were true, Fragarach wouldn't have activated at full-power against Saber in Fate/HA, since her most powerful NP is Avalon, not Excalibur. Also, it could be made an argument that the "Gate of Babylon" is actually Gil's trump card, since it's the only noble phantasm he has: everything else, Ea included, is just a byproduct of it, it's simply part of the content of the treasury (and that's why he HAS to access the Gate to summon whatever item he wants to use). Anyway, I was joking, I actually like the character of Kirei, he's a damn good villain. :D I also like mapo tofu...but still fuck those black keys!! They constantly get in the way in Fate/Grand Order, fuck them!!! >:(

Someone Else Excalibur IS her most powerful offensive NP though. Avalon is a defensive NP, though it could still possibly activate Fragarach, but it's impossible anyway. Saber is not a proper Heroic Spirit so she doesn't possess Avalon.

Destiny87 Mordred is actually one of the easier Knights of the Round. Her HP is low enough that units like Robin Hood can melt her very quickly. Also units like David can buy you extra time. A lot of Archers also have a dodge skill, and you can use your Mystic Code last even longer. Basically nuke her before you run out of defensive options.

Np charge from enemies on hit is based on amount of hits and your character's np charge from taking hits, not the amount of damage, so if it's a high 1-hit attack you're gonna very little and if it's a bunch of low damage hits you'll get more np charge

Jelly Nuke The CE is lvl 20. But it gives bonus damage during the event. Also even tho he's NP basically does 0 damage it still puts a def debuff on the target.

I beat him in pre bug as well. Though I had to use this team: - Mashu - Taiga (CE) - Support Scathach (CE) - Cu - Merlin - Santa Jeanne My plan was to protect Scathach at all costs and have her fire GBA once ready. With NP Damage down she dealt around... I think less than 10K. After the 10 turns expired it went to 500K. It was really hard...

its possible with the 50% reduction he hit ~640k true damage, it depends on the buffs and levels. But generally, Scat can hit absurd levels on Gil who is double weak to her.

You can remove the ATK buffs but he will cast Ea right away if you remove them. And he will just start casting them again.

There might be some setups where it could work. Now Medb is a boss Rule Breaker can be helpful in. Medb doesn't attack until all the trash mobs are dead. But she gains attack buffs for each trash mob that died. But you can remove them and they are gone for good. Rule Breaker is also super good in the Hassan fight. The named Hassans have a buff on them they when killed they insta kill the person that killed them. but Rule Breaker removes it. (Note that if Rule Breaker 1 shots the Hassan the insta kill will go off BEFORE Rule Breaker removes it. So don't give Medea the event CE) All in all I got a lot of value out of Medea in Nerofest.

lol, I find that pretty weird since I don't remember last year Gil would lower your NP dmg by 99.99%, so my Karna hit like breathing into his face. Still killed Gil cause 200% CE plus incredible crit steroid with his NP effects.

You are cherry picking. I actually had awful crit luck though out the video if you pay attention. I repeated this strat quite a few times and it's win rate was well over 80% Most of the time I won sooner actually because normally you crit way more than I did in this video. I picked this run specifically because I crit so little.

Expect the boss was bugged and this isn't how the fight actually goes lol. This video is from the JP server before the bug was fixed. NA doesn't have to deal with this and Cu can murder this with his eyes closed.
