In that sense, Ishtar and Rin are extreme opposites. One relied on her father all her existence, while the other lost hers when merely a child and had to fight and grow up all by herself. arnold jayeola I'd actually argue against that. While Rin was reliant on her father rather than depending on him for everything, she respected her father and looked up to him. Isthar simply just depended on her father to provide her with everything without a care or respect, on the flip side Rin heavily respected her father and sought to be like him. If Rin's father were alive, Rin would most likely be a fully fledged mage mentally. She would be fully willing to leave Shirou to die when he was stabbed by lancer, she would still be quirky and Rin but she wouldn't be anywhere near as human as she was in F/SN

Jeffrey Herrera I could be wrong, but because archer gil and caster gil are two separate servants, I don’t think casgil would actually remember that since this Gil is an older version. The gil in fate/zero (correct me if I’m wrong) was before he met enkidu and this gil is after enkidu’s death. Because of that, while they share memories of their early life, they won’t share memories as servants. Those experiences cause them to become two completely different people, after all.

The interesting thing is kid Gil is kind Archer Gil (teen to late 20/early 30) is just your standard smart ass who inside is super relatable and sad but on the outside is just an ass but still cool Caster Gil (after search for immortality) is a wise king who will still be sassy but understands his own imperfections and attempts to use himself as a pillar for humanity to build on and shuns the gods who abandoned him and his people by being a walking mockery of them... Interesting to note that he could use EA as a caster because it is a mystical weapon and this channels the magic of the gods This is why Gilgamesh is the true hero of the story... I mean Saber (Arthur) is nothing short of a failure of a king and her only good ending is the lancer ending and that was a what if scenario so it never happened(not that King Arthur actually existed because it was just fan fiction of real life events)

Blazer Hell meh, true but even you have to agree going by the real world story’s then Arturia is a failure(not really her fault, I blame Merlin), who was unjustly put in a position that she didn’t truly want/deserve but took it seriously and still ended up becoming a bad king in the eyes of the people due to increasingly cruel punishments(no matter how just they were) even going so far as to denying her sons rights to the throne(I don’t give a dam about her personal preferences or beliefs, the right of royal succession is set in stone, a good king would not change that but instead try and change the person who will take over(not literally I mean metaphoricaly)) Whereas Gil was a fair king who followed the laws and punishments set by his predecessors to the letter, and in doing so angered the gods by being too good at his job(seriously that’s the reason why Enkidu was sent, well that and his ever increasing Ego) in addition he ends up removing god tier threats to his people and thus is punished for it, in the end he goes off to find the secret of immortality for a couple decades and yet his people trust in him so much that they do no wrong and follow his laws knowing that he will return to lead them to a golden age...(that’s some serious trust) it even gets so bad as to the gods regretting their actions and losing their egos of superiority... Now I know that there is a difference between reality and the Fate universe but just going by this as a base definitely gives Gilgamesh a much better record as a king

But in the past she must marry a woman, live a life she didn't want. Mordred was nothing but a filthy thing came to her world, cause suddenly having a clone born from your magical futanari dick could really freak you out. Gilgamesh was on another situation. He didn't have a close relationship with bunch of knights, have huge amount of mana, magic to back him up. He was free, and also, an actual Men. When he summoned Merlin, he simply tell Merlin to " stop his bullshit " out of of own impatience

Blazer Hell Fair point but that still doesn’t excuse Arturia, and again Merlin was a prick of the grandest order, that is something we all agree on, but even then while Gilgamesh didn’t have to deal with knights and petty rivals, he DID have to deal with a much bigger threat, as in the extremely petty gods of his time, who were all basically a cross between Merlin and (especially in Ishtars case) Bitch queen Malty from Shield hero... so yes while their situations were different in the grand scheme of things, they are all things Kings have to deal with on a daily basis(snobby asshats who want to make your life hell) but the mark of a good king is how they deal with it, in Gilgameshs case he got depressed then got over it, but Arturia didn’t deal with it at all and tried actively to ignore the problems that were happening around her at an accelerated rate... yes I clearly understand the differences they went through and no I don’t believe Gilgamesh would have done all that much better if he were in Arturias position(if anything he would have been just as strict and impersonal, but he would have been consistent) but we can clearly say she would have failed miserably in Gilgameshs position to the point the city would no longer exist seeing as she made up rules as the situation arose instead of following age old tradition if it existed Again I’m not saying it was her fault for being king(a position she clearly wasn’t wanting nor deserving of(she did the best she could but even then it wasn’t enough)) after all true kings are a rare bunch, a bunch that I can only list off several in all of history

But she is still a king kept Camelot together and her kingdom fallen the momment she died, it did need her as a king Gilgamesh on the otherhand, when he became King ( Caster Gil ), he just stopped messing with Gods that were stronger than him in order to keep a neutral position for his people.

He's always an asshole, he's just a smarter and less prone to underestimating people to a fatal degree. Gil is actually a pretty nice asshole if you're on his good side and making yourself useful. He just hates pathetic weaklings that are a waste of oxygen, he's generally a pro-human advocate.
